Wrong programme Grin
I actually like the new twist, It should stop situations like we had last year with Jordan - who was atrocious. But also transgender. So when they all turned around to see who they had dismissed and twigged that, they were all gushy and 'oh my goodness, I should have turned for you, gawguss'. But it didn't change the fact she couldn't sing. It annoyed me. Grin as did the fact she was later allowed to continue on the show when someone dropped out.

But back to this year- the early start for 'Let it Shine ' meant that it inexplicably beat the Voice in the ratings. I think the fact the Voice has been so pants in the past also stopped people tuning in.

So- dh has gone out to buy me vodka. I've had A BAD DAY. This has to cheer me up, or else Grin

Wine

Evening Raahh, tell DH to get the biggest bottle in the shop Grin
Not bothering at all with that boring Barry Barlow rubbish tonight, no point if I'm not allowed to slag anyone off on the thread!
I was very underwhelmed by the voice last week, hoping it's better this week

Can't I slag off Let it Shine?! Oh dear... I might have to restrain myself.... eeeek!

They got a bit uppity last week, it's one of those weird threads where they actually like stuff, not for me at all Grin

Nancy Grin

Rousette you are very welcome to slag off 'Let it Shine'. And 'The Voice'. And anything else that takes your fancy. Grin

I went over tonight, because I swear I recognised the first bloke. But I still can't decide what is going on. And just because they can sing, how do we know they can act? And just because members of Take That couldn't dance or could hardly sing, (which kept getting brought up last week) well, that's irrelevant. This is about finding people who can hold an audience's attention on the West end. Actors are different to 'bands'.

80s- I haven't had a drink all week, and wasn't planning too tonight.

I then decided 'sod it' Grin

Well hello!

Was glad to see my fave Welsh boyo back in his turny chair last week. How come no Boy George though?

p.s what's that bollox on BBC1? Cruise ship auditions with Gary Barlow.

squoosh- it is nice to have S'Tom back.

The Shine thing is really quite odd. At least it didn't have the cringy singing opening bit with Mel and Graham singing like last week. Unless I missed it.

It's all alright S'Tom coming back but with the endless advertising, DH keeps going round saying "Yeah" in a TJ voice which is making me a bit murderous TBH, Grin

80s- be strong! I'm better at doing the 'dry' thing when it's not an official thing. Because I'm bloody minded like that. Grin. I managed most of September to the end of November. with one weekend off for a wedding.

I watched an entire series of The Voice sober once. (until the final, my sister's 40th birthday party party one of about 8) . I wasn't even pregnant Shock. It as hard work. Grin.

The thing I can't get over with 'Let it Shine' is how dated all the songs are that they are singing.

we now have a lovely man singing Lionel Ritchie 'All night long'. Grin

80s he is 2. Or 14, in doggy years, same as ds. I got him a pigs ear as treat, which he buried. So, he ended up full of mud, and had to have a bath. I don't think he's had a good birthday Grin.
