I thought this was a genius idea for a programme. Loved watched the oldie celebrities finding out what other countries do. Really interesting seeing the two connunities in Florida. The rich lot defied words.

Surely with our aging population there is lots of scope here. Life swap, Place in the Sun, Wanted down under but for older people.

Yes. So interesting, although as both the ladies are of a larger proportions ( and quite loud) nether looked at ease there did they.
Thought the mass exercise in the park was a bit odd but similar to the ParkRun philosophy I guess.
I want to see more though.
I plan to cruise forever rather than go into a home. Same price and I get to drink cocktails rather than tea,

ive been doing the radio tsaiso callesthenics for about the last 6 months. There was a japanese festival in leicester square in the summer and they did them.I found video on youtube and use that.
it is a lovely programme. My dad was a kern darts player and i have a photo of him with the old bobby dazzler back in the day.

I've only seen the Florida episode but loved it - thought it was fab & looking forward to watching the others.

I loved this too and so did DS2, there seems to be only 2 episode though I am disappointed I thought it was going to be a series. I can't decide whether I love Miriam Margoles or find her really annoying, I do admire someone who is so unapologetically themselves warts and all however.

And yes the second Florida community were awful

I cant work out how it was paid for the cheaper option seemed 150 grand for a house then so much per year? What happens when you need more care? Do they throw you out?

I really wanted them to ask the question about getting dementia or other long term/terminal illness but think you probably have to leave

Hated the "rich" village but the "poor" one was lovely and friendly
