MuchasSmoochas Tue 27-Dec-16 22:18:44

Me too. What a voice. Seems quite happy in the talkie bits?

Doilooklikeatourist Tue 27-Dec-16 22:21:26

I love him , his voice is amazing and his skill at writing lyrics out of this world
So sad

Jellykat Tue 27-Dec-16 22:22:02

Was this filmed this year? They said it was his last gig..

TheSpottedZebra Tue 27-Dec-16 22:23:38

2012 I think

2012 ( I think?)

Destinysdaughter Tue 27-Dec-16 22:24:17

X post!

I think it was 2012? I was at the Glasgow Symphonica concert. The crowd did not look like the French! In fact it wasn't a great night, I was thrilled to be there but it felt a bit cold. Although big venues are always hard to get right.

Watching, was ok till A different corner came on then I went. Enjoying the talky bits too

MuchasSmoochas Tue 27-Dec-16 22:30:21

Hope we get Praying for Time.

Jellykat Tue 27-Dec-16 22:30:33

Oh Wow, MuchasSmoochas !! envy

Lovely version of this Rufus song..

MuchasSmoochas Tue 27-Dec-16 22:34:49

Yes I'm so glad I went. However we were sitting beside the drunkest people singing loudly whereas I was there to pay homage. Then the woman beside DH (who had been dragged along) said she should have worn her Tena pants so she wouldn't need the loo smile he was quite taken aback.

Jellykat Tue 27-Dec-16 22:40:49

grin Muchas..

It makes me sad how sad the majority of his songs are..

Pootle40 Tue 27-Dec-16 22:40:52

Can't believe he's gone........

Hassled Tue 27-Dec-16 22:43:58

I love this cover of Roxanne.

Jellykat Tue 27-Dec-16 22:44:49

I know Pootle!! ( he was the same age as me sad.)

MuchasSmoochas Tue 27-Dec-16 22:46:08

Yes it's good but he has so much of his own material that I'd prefer to hear.

MuchasSmoochas Tue 27-Dec-16 22:46:44

Ooh was that the boyfriend

Jellykat Tue 27-Dec-16 22:48:30

I love his more upbeat, later stuff…the Faith era.

What a legend.

There's some truly deadbeat reporting over on the Daily Mail ducks & hangs head in shame

MuchasSmoochas Tue 27-Dec-16 22:52:17

I'm trying not to look at it. Have already fallen out with DH this morning when he told me what the Internet was saying. It just diminishes the loss.

Str4ngedaysindeed Tue 27-Dec-16 22:53:03

Yes. Can't believe I missed cowboys and angels. It is my very favourite. He had such a beautiful voice that we didn't always appreciate I think

Jellykat Tue 27-Dec-16 22:56:05

I haven't seen anything in the tabloids or online, heard a lovely hour on radio 2 in memory..

MuchasSmoochas Tue 27-Dec-16 22:58:09

He is pure class.
