We have my wife's mum coming to stay, so it will be a diet of gardening programmes, Miss Marple, Midsomer Murders, old films and weather forecasts. Anything with hospitals or health issues is out of the question as are reality programmes and fly on the wall documentaries. The dog will love it as I'll be doing a lot of walking with him.

Thank God for the TiVo box; normal viewing (and a lot of catch-up) will resume in the new year. Merry Christmas viewing to all!

There's a one-off Jonathan Creek on the 28th which I'm looking forward to.

Apart from Jonathan Creek I'll be mostly watching the West Wing boxsets. I'm on episode 13, series 2 right now. Reckon I can get to the next election by Boxing Day.
