Here are the songs. And Honey Fucking G's 'mash-up' is every bit as bad as we fearedgrin

Matt Terry
Writing’s on The Wall - Sam Smith - from the movie Spectre

Ryan Lawrie
Jailhouse Rock - Elvis Presley - from the movie Jailhouse Rock

Emily Middlemas
It Must Have Been Love - Roxette - from the movie Pretty Woman

Honey G
It’s Like That & Getting Jiggy With It - Jason Nevins & Will Smith I - from the movie Keith Lemon The Movie / Last Days of Disco

Saara Aalto
My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion - from the movie Titanic

5 After Midnight
Try a Little Tenderness - Otis Redding - from the movie The Commitments

The Keith Lemon film and Honey G- could there be a worse combination?
They are desperate to make Ryan seem interesting, and it's going to be car crash.
Poor Emily- no-one is listening. Last week, she said she wanted to sing something up beat. Which 'Must have been love' ... isn't.

I hate the Sam Smith Bond theme, think it is one of the worst ever. It's not even 'crumbowl/tumbowl' memorable even.

And then Elfish gets one of the biggest movie songs ever. They either want her to win- or are setting her up to be a sub-par Celine. But I think Elfish thinks she can out Dion-Celine, so it will be epic, and SHOUTY probably.

And 5am are going to destroy one of my favourite songs EVER.

I have peanuts, and Ikea fake mulled wine.

See y'all later.

The80sweregreat Sat 19-Nov-16 17:09:38

Ikea do fake mulled wine? OMG!
Not been to the circle of doom in a few years.

Agree that 5AM will ruin this song. Emily.. ( she wanted more up beat songs she they give her this one! ?? ) do not get that at all. They hate her.
Ryan will do standing on things again in a stripy t shirt. And a quiff.
With the dancers as jailors.
Honey G and K Lemon , i say Lemon, you say Honey.. Blah blah.
( honey n lemon, good for coughs and colds! Poss advert there )

Raahh Sat 19-Nov-16 18:19:32

honey and lemongrin

Yy, non alcoholic mulled 'wine' rock and roll . Rather like Ryan. And yy to the dancers as jailors. Probably very underdressed female ones.

Roussette Sat 19-Nov-16 18:57:06

Ryan doing Jailhouse Rock??? shock shock shock

I cannt begin to imagine!

The80sweregreat Sat 19-Nov-16 18:58:20

..underdressed in striped t shirts with a 'bag of swag' sacks. And handcuffs.
Yep, been watching too many x factors!

Enjoy the wine. Going to be stormy weather tonight.
Micheal mcintyre is up against xf , i bet he is gutted.

nancy75 Sat 19-Nov-16 19:00:04

Keith lemon is one of the few people in the world that I hate more than honey g

AlabasterSnowball Sat 19-Nov-16 19:10:33

This has disaster movie written all over it.
Will probably watch later on catch up so we can miss the adverts, although that's usually been the best part this year wine

The80sweregreat Sat 19-Nov-16 19:14:04

Disaster movie! Lol.
Sharon has two acts left, she is doing well.
Saara will go on ..and on.

Raahh Sat 19-Nov-16 19:15:15

nancy- I agree there. Keith Lemon, 'Mrs Brown' these are 'funny' people I don't get.

Oh, and Honey G.

Roussette Sat 19-Nov-16 19:16:24

Haha yes Ryan is gonna look a bit of a twit I think... I'll reserve judgement for NOW grin

nancy75 Sat 19-Nov-16 19:19:09

Oh my god Mrs Brown & her boys can piss right off, why on earth do people watch that crap

The80sweregreat Sat 19-Nov-16 19:19:52

Mrs Brown! I liked the first couple of episodes, then it just went stupid and ott.
Lemon needs to be quietly killed off. Its had its day.
Same goes for Citizen Khan.
And anything by D Walliams.
Am an old grump.

nancy75 Sat 19-Nov-16 19:21:27

The80s my dd loves walliams ( for his books rather than his tv crap) I would happily room 101 him!

The80sweregreat Sat 19-Nov-16 19:25:25

Nancy, he is good at kids stuff, its the adult things that perturb me! My two loved little Britain! It appealed to them on a level i cannot comprehend!

AlabasterSnowball Sat 19-Nov-16 19:32:28

YY 80's I must be an old grump too.
I read the books that Mrs Browns Boys is based on years ago, they're really good. Nothing like the TV programme, makes you wonder how the man who can write such witty and heartwarming books can write such shite TV

The80sweregreat Sat 19-Nov-16 19:38:32

There is a book? I didnt know this.
Am out the loop on mrs brown!

Raahh Sat 19-Nov-16 19:55:24

Yes, dd1 loves Walliams' books, and I like some, but they are very Dahl-esque. Which isn't a bad thing. but the plots aren't always that original.

As a person, he can be quite funny, but at other times is just too much of a caricature for me. But then, I love Peter Kay (who divides opinion on MN) and Miranda (who most posters on MN positively hate), so what do I know grin grin

Raahh Sat 19-Nov-16 19:56:52

And I remember when Mrs Brown was a stage show and a friend of mine was an absolutely massive fan. I didn't get it then either. grin

Destinysdaughter Sat 19-Nov-16 19:58:48

Hi all just signing in! Ryan has got to go tonight for the love of God! This has absolutely been the worst X Factor ever, such bloody boring lame contestants, really don't care who wins...

AlabasterSnowball Sat 19-Nov-16 19:59:22

I really like Peter Kay, I thought Car Share was really funny. I like Miranda as a stand up, and I quite like her sit com such fun, but it can get a bit silly.
These are the books 80's

The80sweregreat Sat 19-Nov-16 20:00:19

Raahh, i love Peter kay. He is fabulous.
I wish i were 10 years younger and had met him first! ( he might not have felt the same! Lol)
Miranda is ok. Dh and i liked her show.
Its sick kind of humour i am not keen on.

Raahh Sat 19-Nov-16 20:01:43

Destiny- all the good acts fell by the wayside very early on, didn't they?

At this point though, for some light relief, and not of the Honey G kind, I'd welcome back Raw Chicken!

The80sweregreat Sat 19-Nov-16 20:01:44

Thank you.
Will check them out.

Raahh Sat 19-Nov-16 20:04:47

How could anyone call 5AM 'phenomenal' with a straight face? Mind you, Sharon has paid a lot of money for that straight face...

Destinysdaughter Sat 19-Nov-16 20:06:37

I miss the Doll woman. And she could sing!
