Only seen the first episode. I'd rate it 4 out of 5. Wink

Second Grin

I've watched three so far Nosedive, Playtest and San Junerpeiro (sp?) I'm not necessarily watching in order.

San Junepiero is the best one so far for me - really good.

It is clearly a lot slicker an more polished than the Channel 4 days, the downside being that the program does 'feel' more LA now.

I don't really like BDH as an actress but I liked the whole idea of the thing.

For Black Mirror, Nosedive had quite an optimistic, upbeat conclusion.

Thank you so much for posting this. I really enjoyed the first one, the one with the harddrive in the brain was really good. I didn't know there was a new one available. I have Netflix and somehow have missed it Blush

I watched the very first episode earlier today, not knowing what to expect at all!

I'm still not entirely sure what I watched, I am disturbed but am intrigued and I think tentatively looking forward to the next one....

Do you mean the first one in the new series or the very first (Prime Minister and the Pig)

The prime minster and the pig...

Heard lots of people talking about it so thought I should give it a go :)

I may have to leave so I don't stumble across any spoilers!

it was possibly one of the most thought provoking, uncomfortable things I've watched in a very long time (and I recently watched a very weird film called The Lobster)

I have some serious catching up to do before I return :)

Nosedive is good, but c4 was more gritty/real....

Watching the PM and the pig now. Not sure what to make of it tbh

PoppyPicklesPenguin · 21/10/2016 23:15

ginger it's difficult to watch isn't it, but also incredibly though provoking and yup I am still disturbed by it

Ds just watched first episode of series 3 and v disappointed - he loved the earlier episodes

TwentyCups · 21/10/2016 23:20

But gutted its gone American tbh.

Was not taken with the first episode, just didn't get 'into' it until the scene with the Lorry driver. Slow to start really.

Play test was really quite scary! Similar themes to the 'memory chip' episode last series (or before?! Can't remember).

Prime Minister with the pig was one of the most horrific but thought provoking things I have ever seen. His wife holding their baby, watching him on TV, to the bitter end. Seeing him do something with a pig that should have only been for them. It's been years, I'm still traumatised! Shock

PoppyPicklesPenguin · 21/10/2016 23:21

So twenty for us newbies we are never going to be shocked as the pig thing?

WhisperingLoudly · 21/10/2016 23:24

Pm and pig was compelling and clear evidence that everyone was talking about DC and the Bulligdon well before the daily mail got wind Grin

I liked the reality TV/ child killer episode. It's very intelligent thought provoking TV

I liked the first one (new series!)
Not so keen on the gaming one, but definitely enjoyed it! Looking forward to the next 2 tomorrow night...

I realise I should have flagged that with spoiler alert for newbies sorry Blush

And nothing has shocked me as much as that, but DP was much more horrified at other episodes. It's a great show, but some episodes (in my opinion) aren't as enjoyable to different people, I think it depends on your personal fears and whether the theme taps into them.

I think your ok twenty I would have actually have liked that spoiler alert before watching :) I would have been more prepared and it was apparent within a few minutes what was going to happen

I have this urge to post an emoji pig for some reason to lighten the mood

The one that stayed with me the most/most disturbing is White Bear.

But I liked Be Right Back, and the point it was making the most.

The weirdest thing about National Anthem (PM/Pig) is that Charlie Brooker was as horrified as anyone else and perhaps more so when the DC story came out. He had no idea.

Yes BEWARE SPOILERS ALL (does the thread title need a warning?)

I will watch the other 3 episodes over the weekend.

Recent Q+A with Charlie in Graudian was good.
He said that the selling out to Netflix was unfairly reported.
They went American cos Channel 4 said they had to get US funding if theyu wanted to make any more.
Channel 4 who spent all that cash on GBBO but wouldn't do any more Raised by Wolves or Utopia. Although Crazyhead on E4 was good
