Do people know about this? It's amazing but everyone I mention it to in rl hasn't seen it.
Only on the 3Rd episode. Does it stay this good (and scary)?

Yes it is brilliant all the way through!

I am very sad I have finished it.

I'm up to episode 6 and loving it! We planned to watch the remaining episodes tonight but my teething 1.5yr old has other plans for us it seems...

One of the best things I've ever seen on the TV! Dh and I watched an episode a night camping in rural France which made trudging to the toilet block at 0300 so utterly terrifying that after the second night I bought some cat litter and made a toilet with a plastic sandcastle bucket so I didn't have to leave the tent Blush

Yup, loads of my friends have seen it, it's completely awesome and mind boggling and mesmerising!

Jealous you are only on episode three!!!

LOVED it - it made me want to live in the 80's again (much simpler times - despite the bug scary monster thing). And the wee kids are all AMAZING actors. Can't wait for the second series.

Oh thank goodness. I need to rave about it. Just finished today. It remains wonderful, but I can't say more without spoilers.

It's so bloody scary! I'm trying to pace myself but whenever I get into something I just watch/read the whole lot in one go and then mourn it after! Must exercise control.....

I have heard of it. I have many friends raving about it. I'm verging on murderous that we have shitty sodding Amazon prime not Netflix - I'm desperate to watch ... (Have always had a girl crush for Winona)

Amazing!!

The actor playing Mike is called Finn Wolfhard. I just think that's an awesome name as well as possibly being the name of a d and d character Mike might play which is pleasingly meta.Smile

Rick - Winona is bloody brilliant in it - acting her socks off and rocking the dowdy 80's Mom look. Go on get yourself Netflix for a wee month and binge watch!

My DS is watching this - and rates it highly.

I've just started on Offspring (after reading a thread on here) so will have to save this for after!

Best thing we have watched this year. Really happy they are making a second series.

The Eleven actor was amazing!

It's brilliant except DH has to go out in the dark to secure the animals and had a little freak-out when the Demogorgon/tree "moved towards him" Grin

It's amazing, watched it a month or so ago as we happened to see a trail or and thought it looked interesting, put it on one evening and didn't move for 5 hours Blush Watched the rest the next night. Can't wait for the next season but since they didn't even have season 2 in the planning stages until they knew it was a hit it might be a long wait!

Sense8 is the only other netflix series that is about as good. Loved sense8 although it was an odd concept! DH would disagree and put daredevil and Jessica jones up there too but whilst they were very good I don't think they were quite as good!

We managed to watch it in the end! Brilliant tv! Absolutely loved it!

I LOVED it too. Found it very quirky & gripping. As a child in the 80s I loved the era. Most original TV I've seen in a long time.

Winonas amazing, total woman crush on her too!

I was only tiny in the 80s but it felt like this. Glad they're making more.

I enjoyed it while watching but found the end ultimately poor and unsatisfactory.

Report
CartwheelGirl · 07/10/2016 14:53

Has anyone watched it with kids, and if so - what age would you say it's ok for?

I watched (and enjoyed it) myself so I know what it's about but still not decided when it would be ok to watch it together with kids.

Your thoughts?
