It's promising. Some good actors, but why does so much action take place in the dark?

My theory, based on absolutely nothing, is dodgy dealings between Doc(s) and Pharmaceutical company rushing research/testing in order to get drugs to market early.
Enjoyed episode 1.

8 episodes is quite a lot I hope its not dragged out.
Alec needs to tell Nina to STFU.

Seemed very strange to be skyping the woman detective in her kitchen instead of in her office. She wasn't even taking notes! And then wandering around on her own in the dark, climbing over walls....Those scenes were odd.

outnumberedismylife · 22/09/2016 22:26

Yes that was very strange with the German detective.

Can anyone clarify for me - at the very end, Bobby was alone in the office and played the disc showing his movements and then looked at a picture with writing on the back. I'm guessing this was a second picture with a different message from "Look into Angela's past" or whatever the first one said. What did the message say??

It was something like You don't know what you're getting into, it was certainly a threat.

Thanks, Clawdy - I could have resorted to iPlayer but it's so much quicker to ask here! Grin

I just watched it, it said 'you have no idea what you're up against'
I liked it. Smile

What was the deal with the young police guy and the psychologist who kept talking about his mum?

Report
AnnieNoMouse · 23/09/2016 20:40

Rollergirl I don't think we know yet. My guess is the detective's mother was a patient of the psychiatrist and they had an affair.
I found the curly haired detective rather shout and annoying

Shouty woman detective is in Game of Thrones, knew I recognised her from somewhere.

Indira Sharna, also played Zoe in Luther. And that series where she was the gay controlling woman who flushed her partner's goldfish down the loo. (Can't remember what it was called).

I found it quite intriguing. And I liked Indira Sharma and Lesley Sharpe and their characters.

Agree that Marcella turned out to be a bit crap in the end - not sure I'll bother with the next series.

There were so many actors that I recognised from other stuff - Indira and Lesley and Robert Glenister from Hustle and the psychiatrist was Michael Moloney (sp?) who's been in loads, oh and the chief detective was in 'Silk' with Maxine Peake. It's nice to recognise them, but does anyone else ever think why don't some of these well-known actors take a step back and give someone else a chance? How does a lesser known actor catch a break?

Report
Pemba · 25/09/2016 19:02

Oh, it's Indira Varma, not Sharma.

Why were the tablets in bottles? They're all in foil strips now.

Me. That young detective needs to stay away from shouty older detective. Shes no good for him.

Oh for goodness sake - they would never BOTH go up a high structure like that.
Bloody ridiculous at the end, and just knew one of them would come a cropper.
Will still watch next week tho...
