Because we can't wait until next year for season 3. Highbrow discussion of Jamie's knees, hair and anything else Outlander

Lassies!!!!! Thought I'd lost you.

So, yes, I think J's post Culloden journey is more interesting really.

Also.......ages ago someone suggested the Comte St G actor should play grown up Fergus, thought it was a joke, now I see why!!!

And I just don't like them at sea. There was a lot of tedious sailing/unbelievable pirate behaviour at the beginning of Echo in the Bone that I found silly. Although I think it's funny that J has passed on his seasickness to W.

Hello Dry. Found you.
Lots of photos around of the filming in Glasgow today. Looks like they're using it for the Boston bits that we're not that interested in seeing . I've see pics of CB and TM.
There's a great close up of CB holding an umbrella and she's wearing Jamie's wedding ring.

Yes, they are using Glasgow for Boston, it was in an article I read last week. Pics of the cast in 50s/60s clothing etc. Ifrinn, indeed. Who actually cares about that bit?

She does like her piracy/mental sea stories, does DG. I wouldnt mind if they missed out the whole floating to Hispaniola bit, but the how would Marsali and Fergus get married by the moroculous priest?

Priest could come down to investigate the shipwreck, dragging Lawrence Stern with him. Mamacita could get the boot.

Yes DG does like her sea adventures but unfortunately have your male lead spend several episodes throwing up isn't great TV.

Grin Oh, I don't know. If it was a choice between watching Jamie throw up and say, Claire breastfeeding Frank in 20th Century Boston, I know which I'd go for.

I've just re read Fiery Cross and I was horrified to find Brianna breastfeeding Wee Roger. I must have blanked it out from trauma the first time.

I'd rather watch Jamie throw up than any of the boston stuff, tbh. Frank does my box in and the whole creepy breastfeeding stuff has got to go.

I don't know if they'll have J upchucking, really, because they haven't made anything of his seasickness previously, even though it's a big thing in the books and just about the only reason for Mr. Willoughby's existence, except as another Jamie can't do right for doing wrong plot device to beat him over the head with.

How would Claire have got to Haiti, though, Jacquetta. Unless they miss out the whole plot thread of her being kidnapped by the English ship with typhus and just have them all shipwrecked together. Another vote for getting rid of Mamacita, she's like one of those horrible voodoo dolls.

No point speculating, I suppose. We'll just need to wait and see. Nice pics of Sam with a ginger beard popped up on my fakebook this morning. Much better than before (drool emoticon)

WHat does 'ifrinn' mean? Confused

In the show they did mention, briefly, J's seasickness when they got on the boat to go to France. Doesn't really contribute to the plot though.

Snozzle don't read this, it will spoil Echo for you.
Have spent all day need to get a life worrying what J will say when he arrives back in US to discover C has married and slept with his best friend. Not sure "I thought you were dead and we were pissed" will be ok ....... [very worried face].................very worried that Lord John will die conveniently out of the picture so J can get over it leaving J able to come clean to Will. Finding it a bit stressful Grin

Have downloaded Written in my Hearts Blood, will start at the weekend when I finish Echo, would really like J and C to just retire, stop injuring themselves and read books in the countryside Grin

Off to google filming pics .......

Yeah, that's where I was going. Guess she has to meet Lord John though so suppose they could rescue her from the typhus ship.

Saying Ifrinn is just saying Oh, Hell!

Dry, it all works out fine in the end. No-one dies and J and C come out of things intact.

Am completely wasting my life this morning on the Heughan's Heughligans facebook page (oh, the shame) and watching ridiculous Outlander fan videos on Youtube Blush. Thank goodness no one is around to see me.

Found the new thread!

Still miles behind you lot. Have gone back to read DIA as I skipped it to read Voyager after watching series 2. So much more detail, and the story changed too, much better than the episodes, wish they'd stuck more to the book. Am also watching them slowly on the big telly, missed so much watching on my tablet. Looking forward to the opulence in Paris (love costumes in general), not so much the end of the series...

And ideas when series 3 will air?

Lessstressed am deliberately avoiding doing this. I can get a bit obsessed...

I've read on twitter that they're filming until May so after then I suppose.
Glad I'm not alone in getting sucked into reading and watching everything I can find about SH and Outlander.
I can lose hours on Youtube. When no-one is around of course.

I think we'll see series 3 early 2017 maybe Feb so a bit earlier than last year.
Feels like forever away Sad

I am sneakily trying to rewatch but, because my tablet is broken I'm not having much success. All my self indulgence is closely monitored by DD to make sure I'm ot being "pathetic"!

You're all back , thought I'd killed the thread!

Should be called "Outlander Anonymous" shouldn't it? Really a guilty pleasure.

knotting I'm actually loving the books. Started, like you, half way through DiA. On last one now, may go back and read Outlander for the extra detail.

Read that book 9 will be AGES....because they're so long and require so much research, damn
