2 years ago a thread on Our Girl was started with these words ^Anyone watching this drivel?
although slightly enjoyed the family dynamics going on last night, unfortunately DD's favourite programme and in fact Guardian seems to recommend it^

38,000 posts, fireside wrestling contests, fan-fiction, autograph requests, carol concerts, CJ Grand Tours later we are about to watch series 2! And that first post is a distant memory.

Well, here I am yet again joining my 38th discussion thread, can't quite believe it! I am really looking forward to 9pm tomorrow. Welcome to all new fans of the show who may not have discovered it yet but will do so over the coming weeks, we hope. We will no doubt be analysing every little detail and probably rewatching a few times in between episodes as well if past experience is anything to go by so please feel free to join in. We really are relatively sane.

I am so excited tonight. Just seen the trailer again, got goosebumps! Prequel will be watched again too

KeziaOAP Tue 06-Sep-16 19:48:35

Watched prequel again grin. Can't believe I'm wishing the next 24 hours fly byhmm.

Thank you all for welcoming me, it was my DD first day at uni, I have just been told I am asking to many questions. Unfortunately will be working tomorrow evening so will miss OG. Listened to BA on radio this afternoon, definitely comes across more confident than last radio interview. Looks really cute wearing headsets.

cjwoofwoof Tue 06-Sep-16 20:28:01

Aah Thread 38 - lovely!

Don't know if I've got this right but on Sky BBC R1 channel there's a re-run of entire OG series thus far that goes through the night from 9pm, so must include the pilot and all 5 S1 episodes . I may be wrong confused

icemistOBE Tue 06-Sep-16 20:37:55

Mine says catch up... I though my it might be the prequel on loop again.... Although if it is movie and all last series I will be very happy as someone small scratched my OG DVD the other day

elsie3g Tue 06-Sep-16 20:42:39

Hello all, de lurking! I've been with you for the majority of the chaos but I feel it's time to get the crew (old and new) together...I feel like I'm narrating the opening credits of the A-team! He's to BA swooning, Kenyan grime and strappy headsets. Been warned they may be some new iPhone/android alerts for you to baffle your nearest and dearest (I've not forgotten your fave Woofly - "brize nourrrton"). But I'm never disappointed when CJ summons "Private Dawes...Pri-vate Dawes" from the depths of my bag.
Hang on to your hats! One more sleep. "I love it when a plan comes together!"

Great new thread and welcome old and new! How exciting....24hrs to go. I'm loving all the publicity OG is getting this time round. BA sounded and looked gorgeous today!

Richtea19 Tue 06-Sep-16 20:49:20

Welcome ollie, perfect time to join the madness!

This time tomorrow, the wine will be poured, door closed so no interruptions.. and breath! Just too bloody excited!

In watched cold feet earlier and was quite suprised now much I enjoyed it, although not as much as AT banging his pick axe in the mine wink

Richtea19 Tue 06-Sep-16 20:50:34

Yeah elsie welcome back grin X

icemistOBE Tue 06-Sep-16 20:56:36

Oh Elsie welcome back!!!

My current fave is "I need a medic... And you fit..."

Was rather glad last week there was no signal as my phone would have been chirping "private Dawes..." When richtea was texting me blushconfusedgrinsmile

Richtea19 Tue 06-Sep-16 21:08:25

ice priceless! Could of been "cockwomble" !!

Heligirl79 Tue 06-Sep-16 21:11:36

Now less than 24 hours to go! grin

KeziaOAP Tue 06-Sep-16 21:17:11

Welcome back Elsie smile.

Ollie welcome to the OG madness grin

KeziaOAP Tue 06-Sep-16 21:18:32

icegrin grin

cjwoofwoof Tue 06-Sep-16 21:23:19

Yay for Elsie whoop-whoop! How appropriate (said in a posh boy way) that da crew is getting back tugeva grin Yep I'm hoping for a couple more Brize Nor-Huns to get the old juices flowing again it's been a while

cjwoofwoof Tue 06-Sep-16 21:28:03

... and I'm changing my name to Woofly else that's far more appropriate (posh voice again).

Hmm I'm verging on OG2 anticipation hysteria and it's not pretty in a wobbly middle aged woman with white eyebrow hairs confused Now I know how Nick feels...

MaddieMoo82 Tue 06-Sep-16 21:34:21

Hi elsie!

So are these different juices to ones that appeared during the poldark topless mining scenes woof? grin

Rhubarb01 Tue 06-Sep-16 21:37:42

Welcome back elsie.

I was just thinking back to the first few threads and wondered what happened to passthecremeeggs and nappyvalleymum. For some reason I always recall those names. I think Lyndie who frequents the Swagger Inn was also an early poster on here.

Rhubarb01 Tue 06-Sep-16 21:41:45

ooh Woofly surely CJ will need to inform Georgie that they'll be flying out of Brize Nor'hun at some point. I'm thinking we could need our OG Bingo cards for the upcoming series. I wonder what new expressions we'll be adopting as time goes on.

Nickel45 Tue 06-Sep-16 21:45:00

Hey elsie good to see you again
(Just ignoring woofly before she gives away all my secrets ... Hee hee that changed to woolly, can I call you that now ... oh, whoops, forgot I was ignoring you wink)

Richtea19 Tue 06-Sep-16 21:45:18

rhu don't forget furcoatnoknickers !!!!

Rhubarb01 Tue 06-Sep-16 21:47:38

Oh yes rich - she (I'm assuming) was funny. I think they set each other essay questions back then on OG.

Rhubarb01 Tue 06-Sep-16 21:48:45

Actually woof was that one of your alter egos?
