Anyone watch last night? Friday

4 sisters prepare for the funeral of their brother in law (married to 5th)

You know he's dead as funeral in e1

But it's how he dies

Subtitled but funny

Well worth a watch. It's on demand if you missed e1

E2 next week

Oh I'm glad someone else is watching! I enjoyed it fwiw. The relationships between the sisters look like being really interesting

It's clever and funny

Can't believe more aren't watching /relying

Then again subtitles put people off but after loving the returned I at least give subtitled/foreign shows a go

Anyone have any ideas how the husband dues and who killed him yet? I'm wondering if Goedele (sp) was involved somehow...

Love the way they all call him the prick

He was a nasty man ie the phone calls he made but kinda had a sense of humour and neighbours putting rubbish in my bins would piss me off

Wondering if it really was an accident after all the planning the sisters do

The explosion was funny tho not sure how a candle would explode a house filled with gas - was never good at science

I've just started watching it this evening. Only watched the first episode, but am keen to watch more tomorrow. He was a nasty man, wasn't he? The language is a strange one. Very gutteral with the odd English word thrown in. I've yet to hear a word that are any of the sisters names, but maybe that will come in time.

Yes he was horrible and deserved to die

Their names are weird

Love the way the sisters call him the prick and now so do the insurance men

I've just finished the 2nd episode and I'm really enjoying it! There are a few things that grate on me though:

Why does The Prick call his wife "Mummy"?
How does the older insurance guy get away with being such a wanker all the time?
Surely The Prick will start to piece everything together at some point? He looked a bit like he was getting suspicious when they were doing the burial.

Why is Flemish called a 'strange language' as somebody put it on this thread! It is the same as Dutch but just slightly different pronunciation and vocab used here and there. A bit like English and American and the differences between those.

I say this as I am half Belgian and was delighted to be able to practise my rather rusty Flemish and also enjoy a thrilling programme on tv at the same time!

Tbh I didnt know it was Flemish, its just not a flowing language like some others. I didn't mean an offence, only an observation. It was also odd having an English word in there every now and then :)

Thanks to a poster with good taste in telly on another thread I've found this!

Loving this programme. I've got totally rubbish, basic Dutch but that's the language I'd say Flemish is closest to?

Poor Oscar the dog :( however I slightly saw it coming. I think this series is ace and look fwd to the expansion of the "dream/memory" scene in Ep 1 where you see Eva waving a pg test evidently upset; in the same episode we learn she's unable to have kids.

Hmmm.

I'm guessing he is but I predict their liaison will predate his marrying "Mummy"

Really enjoying this programme -though tje subtitles make me realise how many things I tend to be doing while 'watching' TV eg on phone, reading a book or ladt night sorting out the vast pile of odd socks...cant do any of it or I ll miss a line!
The characters are fantastic,God I felt like screaming at the TV when the police came to his poor friends house :(

I know!

What had Roger done to piss him off so much?

I must admit though that I have limited sympathy for Veerle & Bekka in their hatred of him.

I dont know if Rodger has done anything,he just seems to enjoy causing misery....
Im not sure why the sisters decided he had to die though? He is an absolute ARSE and id hate to see my sister married to him,but does he deserve to die? The worst thing he s done imo is re Rodger but they dont even know about that.....the one having an affair is hardly in a position to complain about his treatment of her cruel though it is,and how could the youngest one ever think he would lend her money ,he would take pleasure in saying no. Did I miss something he did?
