Let's hope this series will be better then last one

Obviously you will save money if not buying the most exspensive items every week /spending £200/300

How about helping a family who spend £50/60 and need to cut it down even more

Tho do love the taste challenge esp when they say something is disgusting - and it's their usual posh brand 😂😂😂

Mrs clooney that a years salary for some

I was in a temp nanny/HK job recently and did their shopping weekly on a mon and fri.

Mon would be £180 and fri another hundred at least - plus bread from farm shop etc - easily £300 a week. I was shocked each week buying it all

I agree, I hate these family who just buy all the expensive stuff. Piss easy to cut their shopping!!

I by some brands if they are on offer and cheaper than supermarket own.
Also some firm favs such as Fairy liquid and Heinz beans.

As above I want to cut my £70 bill that I try to cut down as it is.

I don't understand why it never dawned on them to look at how much their shopping was costing them, and buying crackers like that is mad, it's not rocket science to know that you can keep them fresh in a ziplock bag.

Oh my god, did he say how do you make popcorn without the microwave bag Shock

Sorry I'm way behind, had it paused for a bit.

Excalty. Hence whole love to see a normal family struggling to pay their weekly bill to be able to decrease it by 10/15 a week

Over the year that would be 500/750 saved / which to some Families would be a fortune

The chicken stir fry looks amazing 😂

Blondes, my ds does a gorgeous stir fry, he gets all his recipes from the tasty Facebook page, and they work out really good value, it's a great page, check it out if you are on Facebook Smile

I agree I wish they would focus on families that spend around 100 per week and help them save money. Of course you can save100 a week if you're spending 250!!

I posted that when they said it and it did look bulkier than I thought. I was thinking egg rice and peas.

My hubby wouldn't let me serve it as dinner but that's a whole other thread.

I couldn't help watching the last series even though it was ridiculously easy to slash their grocery bills. I want help for people like me, who only buy branded stuff if it's on such a good offer that it's cheaper than the value/ own brand! Will have to watch this on catch up when the kids are finally in bed - they're an hour late settling down so far... Hmm

I just worked out that my food budget for the year is half of what that family saved, so I agree with you sugarmice, it doesn't represent anyone on a budget, they wanted to save money to go to Canne, I'd want to save money so we could have a week in butlins or something similar.

Also the husband didn't seem too impressed with the savings, or maybe I'm just fed up now Grin
