They stopped talking about how long she got so I think they intend to keep her In for as many series as they can.

I think you are left to draw the conclusion that her sentence got extended for lying In court. But they never say that.

Yeah I'm pretty sure her sentence got extended for perjury but it's not expressly stated. I wish she'd get out and just focus on the other characters tbh she's an awful character.

googled for you! (i've watched them all)

Real life: She spent 13 months in a Danbury, Connecticut women's prison, FCI Danbury. Kerman actually had a six-year delay between being sentenced to prison and entering prison in 2004.

Season 1
Chapman is sentenced to 15 months in Litchfield Prison for drug smuggling;

I cant see anything obvious about why she is still in, but she has been in a fair few troubles

(interesting from the woman that Alex is based on
One of the first season’s major plot points concerns whether or not Vause snitched on Chapman. The state of the pair’s romance often hinges on whether Chapman thinks Vause was the informant who “named” her. In reality, Wolters says, everyone involved in the case talked.

“They had picked the first round of us up two years prior to Piper’s somewhat congenial visit from the feds,” Wolters says of the ring’s undoing. “So, yes, I named her, she named me, and we all named each other. Fact was, we all thought we were doing the right thing, confessing, getting protection, and saving ourselves from certain death at the hands of a Nigerian drug lord who we knew would soon find we had all been arrested.”)

Yeah, she wrote a book about it - the TV show is MUCH!!!! better (even from the view of a book purist who prefers books to adaptations nearly every time!)

Time moves VERY slowly.

Daya got pregnant at the beginning of series one and gave birth at the end of season 3. So we know seasons one to three cover less than a year.

I loved the first few series, but I just can't get into the latest. Anyone else think it's just not as good......!

I thought the last series was the best.

Dont know how long she is meant to be in for now. But I think that the series could cope if she left. There are plenty of other characters to get involved in. This last season concentrated on a lot of other people more.
