FancyFancy Sat 25-Jun-16 20:51:31

Thanks elk, but someone's missing

JaneElk Sat 25-Jun-16 20:52:28

It's a Doooo it Yourself thread grin

MadamedeChevreuse Sat 25-Jun-16 20:54:43

So great, two threads cock up strikes again!

MadamedeChevreuse Sat 25-Jun-16 20:56:59

Which one will we delete?

FancyFancy Sat 25-Jun-16 21:00:22

There's only one way to decide this - FIIIGGGHHHHTTTTTTT!!!!!!

ApricotCrush Sat 25-Jun-16 21:48:51

Hahahaha! I cannot belieeeve ... the wenches strike again says she who's never started a thread in her life. Which one are we using then? This one as it's got more posts?

MadamedeChevreuse Sat 25-Jun-16 21:54:20

Looks like it, I'll delete mine.

Cinnamoncookie Sat 25-Jun-16 22:04:12

So the naked mud wrestling to decide whose thread wins isn't happening?

<Wanders off, disappointed>

LetUsPrey Sat 25-Jun-16 22:22:14

Holy shit that was AMAZING!

I love Bonnaire so very very very much

I had visions (from soup not God) of Team Athos wenches flailing like mad during that episode, particularly at the beginning and then when he invited Sylvie in for coffee wine.

Dog was fit, Porthos wasn't annoying, not enough Trev, Kingy was sensible(!), English Queenie was annoying, Feron and Grimaud were brilliant, Sylvie was fab, Pauline was odd, big hello to Paul McGann, and Aramis was the very very bestest FAFest of all and I'd like to see him get sweaty a lot more often.

In honour of Madame's thread title (although it's not how it was meant) <channels Lala Lala Lala> gain again, gain again!

You can blame the Pimms.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp Sat 25-Jun-16 22:39:31

Not to worry wenches, I finished the last thread off and I claim Athos as my prize grin

wine for LetUs - yes, broadly agree with that review apart from who was the most FAF of course. And I didn't have to visualise the flailing.
<volunteers to drink wine with Athos even if I can't stand the stuff >

Also wine for Madame and Elk for the new thread fiasco grin It's been a while since we needed a thread deleted.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp Sat 25-Jun-16 22:41:50

Oh - did anyone else laugh at the start when Dog was chasing Bonnaire and Athos was tryign to keep up at the back? grin

JacobFryesTopHatLackey Sat 25-Jun-16 22:49:05

Dog was so cute with trying to figure out which daughter was Serena.

Fab eye rolling from Kingy.

"Aramis, shoot the horse" grin

And "I have a very audacious plan, Grimaud" grin top quality, homoerotic plotting from Feron and Grim.

LetUsPrey Sat 25-Jun-16 22:49:35

Did anywench else think "peaches" when Aramis said to Dog "there's more than one way to keep a woman happy" or whatever it was he said <blinded by the FAF>

WickedWenchOfTheNorth Sat 25-Jun-16 22:51:14

Great, just fucking great. I couldn't watch because my fucking computer is so fucking slow after updating to fucking Windows 10 angry

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp Sat 25-Jun-16 22:56:00

Wicked sad you can try again later though?

Mouse I just thought 'Baldrick' - "I have a cunning plan...." grin

LetUs missed that - will have to pay more attention tomorrow. Jolly good...

And now I'm knackered so I shall head off to the hayloft. Night all...

Comtess Sat 25-Jun-16 23:05:22

<standing ovation >

Bravi tutti!

Loved it. Absolutely brilliant episode. I like Laura Haddock - she's got beautiful bone structure.

Lovely to have a James C episode and hear more Aramis backstory.

<cwtch> for Wicked so sorry your compute ruined you watching

MLGs Sat 25-Jun-16 23:19:54

Loved it. Absolutely bloody loved it.

Favourite line - "one day you'll write your memoirs and there'll be a woman's name on every page". A wench 's, I think you'll find, Dog....

Did find it funny that Aramis had to quickly paper over the cracks in the back story by adding "until my father came to take me away..... you know, like I mentioned in ktq he made honey brandy and that, so we'd better crowbar in that I went to live with him later....."

MadamedeChevreuse Sat 25-Jun-16 23:29:25

Well my watching of the ep was a bit interrupted by various things, so I might have to reserve judgement, but...confused confused wtf was that all about??

Dp did crack a good line at the start though.

"Did he just say, 'Athos we need to get to the loo?'"

"Is he kissing that woman in the toilet then?"

AnneEtAramis Sat 25-Jun-16 23:36:19

I LOVE BONNAIRE. That was hilarious and brilliant. So so much to say, but shattered so will catch up tomorrow.

FancyFancy Sat 25-Jun-16 23:54:13

My computer was being sooooo slow, that with posting taking ages & the new thread confusion I'm not sure it all made too much sense tbh confused. I will need a rewatch - what torture!

I do remember another cracking start to an ep with everyone taking the piss out of Athos, Bonnaire hamming it up gloriously, Kingy being hilariously sensible & Aramis being utterly FAF for every second he was on screen. Oh and Dog being rather cute with all the daughters & then the horse grin. Would've liked more Trev - think we only got one eye roll, no 'I've 100% had enough' faces & he didn't punch Marcheaux.

letus - I thought of peaches & a whole lot else at that line wink. Actually, now I think of it, that's probably round about the time I started to lose the plot. Quite literally.

Oops over thread confusion blush

I was admiring a friends new conservatory, had signed up to their fancy 5g wifi, and thought I'd have a surreptitious Swagger visit between canapés when I noticed you all rollicking towards the end of the thread. There was only time for a cursory glance, so I missed madame saying she'd got it covered. Then I cocked up the link at the exact same moment the fancy 5g wifi broke angry. So the confusion is all my fault, sorry blushblushblush

Anyway, yet to see ep4, sounds like it's was great fun

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp Sun 26-Jun-16 08:45:55

Morning all
<wipes, cleans polishes, does dishwasher stuff, tops up drink on the bar, etc>

Have't mamaged a rewatch, but after a few hours sleep <DS up at 5:50 again angry > my summary for Madame* is:
It was all about Bonnaire stealing the English Queen's jewels with some Aramis backstory and Athos romantic angst shoehorned in. And it was a good'-un.

MoreLike - yes, I thought that too grin quick backstory reconciliation/recovery for Aramis via the continuity script-writers grin

My resounding thought is that, if Athos invites you up for wine, and isn't overly interested in your political views or getting to know you, then.... I don't see the problem. grin #wench
