Freeze framing on the Mad King made him look a bit like John Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich.

Nothing on IMDB yet

So cold hands must be benjen then (in the books)

FFS when is the High Sparrow going to go?

Benjen yay!
Waldo boo! But this means some kick ass Blackfish action with Jaime too.
No Jon or Sansa
Poor old Sam. Least his has some Valyarian steel now.

Arya got her groove back. The House of B and W is as zzzzz as the Sparrows.

Dany rocked. Get those Dothraki on wooden horses please!

It is great to see movement and answers and glimpses of the mad king. But, without sounding ungrateful, it's starting to feel a little quick. But that's possibly because I never want it to end.

Benjen. Wow.

Arya is surely going to kill the annoying woman now and then get the hell out of Bravos.

And where does that dragon keep coming from? Where does it go? Frankly, it could have it's own spin off series.

I cried a little bit when Lady Tarly and Sam's sister were so lovely to Gilly but I knew it couldn't last.

Did we already know that Lord Randell had a Valarian steel sword?
I was 'woohoo' when Sam took it!
Wonder where were they're off to now - can't go to the citadel - no women!

Report
AgingJuvenileBinkyHuckaback · 30/05/2016 10:12

It was certainly mentioned in the books. When Randall first waved at it I thought "Ooh! You're not going to be hanging above a Southern fireplace for long. There's some decapitated White Walkers in your future."

Report
BonerSibary · 30/05/2016 10:26

I didn't! So am thinking it was a book only thing, no mention in the series so far.

pyrowall · 30/05/2016 10:28

Oh good!
I thought I'd missed something!

I wasn't all into this ep. felt a bit 'filler'

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 30/05/2016 10:29

Several woohoos here. At Sam, at Arya and best of all at Benjen - whoop!

Report
EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 11:30

They have been essentially place marking with Dany in the books for an AGE and so also the show until people are where they want them.

A lot of filler indeed if Arya goes back to Westeros her entire House of The Snoozefest has just been place marking which really feels like a waste of reading hours. Most of ADWD is extraneous anyway

It was set-up; all the little bits of clockwork falling into place. I thought Kings Landing was brilliant - the High Sparrow out-manoeuvring not only Cersei (easy enough) but also Olenna, which is a feat rarely managed. I'm hoping that Marjery is playing the long game.

It was filler, but a couple of big revelations. They seem to be setting it up for most of the Starks to return to the action, yes? So Jon and Sansa have found each other, Bran is presumably going to be taken to Castle Black. Arya seems to have decided fuck this for a game of soldiers. Maybe that was her plan all along, get as much assassin training as she can and then leg it. Benjen is resurrected, and we've had hints that Lady Stoneheart will be here soon too.

ClashCityRocker · 30/05/2016 12:59

Yes, seems like the Starks (what's left of them) will be reunited this season, can't see bran going elsewhere and surely Arya will go to castle black?

We haven't heard from RIckon yet other than Ramsay has him prisoner so guess that storylines on hold.

Is Jaime back to being a tosser? I thought he swore never to take up arms against a Stark or a Tully again - althou tbf he did try to get out of it.

I think there's so many different storylines now that they can't fit them into each episode so have short segments of as many bits as possible which doesn't really move the story on and gives it a very disconnected feel. I've found this more so this series and thinker it worked better when they only focuses on two or three elements per episode as they did in the earlier series.

What happened to Danys other two dragons that Tyrion released? Did they just wonder off without killing or burning anything? Tbh I've forgotten why he even released them in the first place.

Dragons makes more sense in the book. I think Jamie will switch sides at Riverrun. Hoping lack of Rickon means no Darkstark and any abuse is implied not seen. I do hope Ramsey dies
