Anyone seen this?

I read a review and thought would catch up.

It's Spanish. Women's prison. A bit OITNB but in Spain.

I quite enjoyed episode 1 - do have to concentrate on subtitles though as my Spanish isn't that good. Grin

Tuesday on Ch 4 (I think)

LOVED IT.

But one massive problem. Only the first episode is being shown on telly, if you want to see hte rest you have to watch online on All4. And if like us you're on Sky, it;s not available on Sky Box Sets or Catch Up. So I will have to watch 15 further episodes on my laptop.

Not impressed with Sky!

Am watching it online - now on Episode 8. What a fantastic series!

The cast is excellent, and the storyline is really gripping. I am finding the series really addictive, even more so than some of the scandi series.

I loved it and was disappointed that it's not being shown on tv. Would have thought it was a perfect fit for More4 and tons better than constant repeats. It was brilliantly acted and I can't wait to see the rest - even if it is on a crappy small laptop screen.

Are there two series, and if yes, are they both available online already or just the first one?

Yep, it is a shame that it was not shown on TV because I think it would then have found a much larger public.

OK so I persevered and watched the next 15 episodes on my laptop.

LOVED IT

It just gets better and better as it goes on. Lots of strong female characters (and some very good male ones too), lots of twists and turns and some great acting. I do speak Spanish which helps but isn't essential, the subtitles are very good and accurate and you might pick up a few words along the way. gilipollas

Oh and Channel 4 / All 4 say they'll be showing the second series once it's finished in Spain, so at the end of the year.

I have 3 more episodes to go. I was away for a few days so have slowed down in my consumption of the series.

I think it is my favourite series ever. Fingers crossed that the other three episodes of this series do not disappoint.

The characters are just so good. I am not a fan of Anabel, but I fell under Zulema's spell for a bit when she was reciting poetry by Lorca.

Fabio and Palacios are great too. Palacios displays such humanity.

I have recommended the series to plenty of people but not many have heeded my advice, probably because it is online only.

I like Tere, I'm transfixed by her teeth. Not sure what they've done to make her look so awful. Saray is a good character too, she changes towards the end of the series a bit.

In fact, the only characters I'm not that keen on are Macarena's parents and annoying brother.

I like Tere, Sole and Estefania, and Miranda too.

Not keen on Sandoval, although at times, in the professional meetings, he fools me a bit and you can understand how he gets away with what he is up to.

I am loving this show too. I did Spanish at school many years ago and am surprised to find I'm enjoying reading the subtitles whilst listening to the spnish too - that must be educational hey!

I have done some Spanish but I am by no means fluent. I have been able to pick up the odd word/sentence. There were loads of 'tranquilo'/'tranquila'.
