This episode focuses onAmanda Lewis who was convicted of murdering her daughter on the sole witness testimony of her 7 year old son, who says he saw her drown his sister.

I'm watching it now. That poor boy, having to testify against his mum. It was so upsetting when he didn't recognise his mum.

RainyMornings Wed 18-May-16 21:28:14

He looks spaced out like it's all a dream, how crazy for him to do that! I don't know with this woman, she looks broken, but she didn't smile when talking about her

RainyMornings Wed 18-May-16 21:29:42

He's so small sad

gingerboy1912 Wed 18-May-16 21:32:18

Just started watching it now

RainyMornings Wed 18-May-16 21:38:18

What do you think? I wonder how the son feels now

Lilaclily Wed 18-May-16 21:39:49

I can't believe they let the boy go to court
That wouldn't happen here would it ? It'd be by video link ?
I think she did it, there was physical evidence and surely they wouldn't just take the boys evidence I to account

I don't know what to think. Initially I god, maybe the little boy got all caught up in it and just went along with it....she did pass the lie detecter..

I cried when he realised it was his mum...he looked heartbroken

I feel for her too if I"m honest...doesn't seem as though it was deliberate (if indeed she even did it)

youknowwhattodo Wed 18-May-16 21:42:32

This is so sad. I'm in tears. Poor little boy and poor mum if she is innocent

RainyMornings Wed 18-May-16 21:44:18

At first I felt desperately sad for her, she looks like a broken woman, and I know 7 year olds, they don't always tell the truth and wouldn't always understand the seriousness of it. On the other hand the house was a state and stank, and if things happened how she said, she left them in the garden with a pool, so I don't know how I feel about her

Heavens2Betsy Wed 18-May-16 21:55:25

I wondered if the little boy had done it and was framing his mum???

SaigonSaigon Wed 18-May-16 21:57:30

God, there's an awful idea. Hadn't thought of that.....

RainyMornings Wed 18-May-16 22:00:27

Potentially, confused that's one of the theories for Jon benet ramsay.

gingerboy1912 Wed 18-May-16 22:01:32

I just hope that boy doesn't grow up to be a born liar. Not sure what to think tbh

Lilaclily Wed 18-May-16 22:03:25

But the marks on the girls face would be from an adult hand wouldn't they ? How reliable are lie detector tests ?

gingerboy1912 Wed 18-May-16 22:05:13

Was the hand mark done at the time of death?

Lilaclily Wed 18-May-16 22:05:54

Yes to push her down in the water :-(

Lilaclily Wed 18-May-16 22:06:33

He wouldn't be able to hold her down anyway ?

gingerboy1912 Wed 18-May-16 22:06:44

Just wondering if the marks could of been done at a different time of that day.

woody2976 Wed 18-May-16 22:07:11

ive just watched the end of this and it was a completely different case?

gingerboy1912 Wed 18-May-16 22:08:13

Yes they are covering two different cases tonight

Isthereeverarightime1 Wed 18-May-16 22:13:25

I also don't know how to feel about this one, I believed she done it but then she passed the lie detector so I really can't say either way! The bruises to her head would suggest something happened but whether it was what we think we will never know!
I literally cried when the little boy saw his mum in court and broke down it was so so sad, I wanted to give him a hug!
I wondered whether they would show him now he is older but I guess they can't as he was adopted!? What a scary life for him to deal with at such a young age, the condition of the house was awful too and as a pp said if her version was true she left two young kids around a pool alone, which questions her thought process that that time!

Lilaclily Wed 18-May-16 22:13:53

From the net
In her mind she may have held the child underwater only long enough to frighten and punish her and was shocked to find she had killed her. That might be enough to fool a lie detector.

Also says she had a 16 month old who died from an unexplained seizure sad

gingerboy1912 Wed 18-May-16 22:14:59

Mmm not sure I believe Rhonda

Lilaclily Wed 18-May-16 22:15:13

They found no toys in the house, she said she took them away for a week at a time as a punishment and they were in the shed but when they searched the shed they weren't any
