Destinysdaughter Mon 15-Feb-16 21:21:44

Ooh was just looking to see if there was a thread on this! Should be interesting...

Destinysdaughter Mon 15-Feb-16 21:23:00

So hard to see David Schwimmer as anything other than Ross tho!

whitershadeofpale Mon 15-Feb-16 21:25:41

I watched it yesterday online. It was quite good except John Travolta really hams it up.

Watching. Making me feel very old because I was an adult when it happened in the 90's .

gooseberryroolz Mon 15-Feb-16 21:30:08

Just about to start on live pause. I do not have very high hopes TBH.

TooAswellAlso Mon 15-Feb-16 21:32:23

It's meh.

Though I did have a bit of a moment when Ross came opposite seafood platter guy.

Pipbin Mon 15-Feb-16 21:33:16

What the fuck happened to Travolta? Was he in a fire?

Pipbin Mon 15-Feb-16 21:34:16

I was late for work because I was watching the verdict.

Destinysdaughter Mon 15-Feb-16 21:34:31

John Travolta looks weird!

ineedaholidaynow Mon 15-Feb-16 21:35:32

Enjoying it so far

TooAswellAlso Mon 15-Feb-16 21:36:02

Travolta doesn't even look like himself

Cocolepew Mon 15-Feb-16 21:44:27

I'm enjoying it too

Pipbin Mon 15-Feb-16 21:51:59

Travolta doesn't even look like himself

He looks like there was a fire at Madam Tussaud's and they patched him up with Schwarzenegger by mistake.

ineedaholidaynow Mon 15-Feb-16 21:54:14

Why didn't they just go and arrest him?

Destinysdaughter Mon 15-Feb-16 21:57:11

Oh no! Is that it?

Angeladelight Mon 15-Feb-16 21:57:26

Is it on UK TV yet?

gooseberryroolz Mon 15-Feb-16 21:58:10

BBC2 Just finishing now.

Geepee71 Mon 15-Feb-16 21:59:28

What have in just watched? That can't be true representation?
And John travolta......... Wtaf?

kaymondo Mon 15-Feb-16 22:01:47

If it is a fairly accurate presentation then how the hell he got off is beyond me - even with the political climate at the time.

Cocolepew Mon 15-Feb-16 22:02:12

Well he has the eyebrows right.

Follyfoot Mon 15-Feb-16 22:03:09

Followed the trial live on TV at the time, and it was such a travesty of justice that I cant bear to watch him get away with it all over again. The poor Brown and Goldman families sad

MadSprocker Mon 15-Feb-16 22:08:25

Was reading an article about this earlier, and pretty much true representation of events.

Follyfoot Mon 15-Feb-16 22:09:08

Off the top of my head, he got away with it due to:

The best team of lawyers money could buy who created so much doubt around the prosecution case.

Poor techniques by the forensic team during the blood sample collection

One of the detectives (Mark Fuhrman) was recorded using a racist word so his vital evidence was discredited.

The 'glove doesnt fit' moment which sealed his acquittal.

theliverpoolone Mon 15-Feb-16 22:09:32

So, if someone who vaguely resembles John Travolta, and David Schwimmer, are his defence team it certainly was a travesty he got off - they were like Laurel and Hardy, they were so inept in tonight's episode!
