orph misses you! Glad you're back

Been out tonight for friends 50th, for those that remember last year, my friend whose bunny announced he was gay. Good night, village hall, bring your own booze, abba, come home and clothes smell musty village hall - that kind of party. But good fun. And pleased to say she has moved on and has a new fella. Three beautiful amazing children too. V V proud of her. I'm pissed (no change there) night night. X z z z

Ooh get me, up with the larks on a Sunday - the only day of the week when I can have a nice lie-in and I'm up pacing the floor, worrying that orph has yet again taken my man, wrestling AT from under my bed nose with some cock and bull story about improving his scything action. It's dear Ian in the Ladies Toilets after the BAFTAs 1978 all over again, will I never learn? Confused

Talking of toilets, I was in Debenhams cafe the other day and the loo had the I, L and T missing from the sign, so it spelt Ladies Toes which I found quite amusing.

Rambling now as only had about 3 hours sleep and no caffeine as yet, yawn

Fortunately I have Matthias on speed dial to calm my nerves, and he's bringing over his extra large smock to dab my chin brow as it's an emergency, plus I've booby-trapped ATs scythe so orph will find out the hard way that his chopper has already been forcibly nobbled by yours truly, aah-ha-haaah (preens moustache and exits stage left in a swaggering manner)

Report
pixieg1rl · 07/02/2016 08:04

I wish I had Matthias stashed under my bed woof, DS woke us up at 5:30, then MrP left about 6 for work, trying to get back to sleep seemed pointless after that. I'm sure Matthias would be a great comfort in my sleep deprived state

Report
cjwoofwoof · 07/02/2016 08:17

Can you not adapt your heated airer somehow pix to give you some kind of warm comfort? Granted it's not got the flesh covered skills of Matthias' hands but as long as it can take your weight I'm sure there's some hidden depths to be explored in other words, no you're not borrowing Matthias as that will only leave me with Manu and SBW to fall back on

richtea I've just cracked up at the thought of a bunny coming out to his owner (wasn't Babs Streisand's entire back catalogue stashed in his hutch a give away?)

Ah woof I'm afraid I've already personally 'booby trapped' AT's impressive scythe and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It used to be my encore act back on stage in Amsterdam if you recall?

Saw SBW in the flesh the other day, Woof and mighty fine flesh it was, too. He's in the All Black 7s team.Had a big win last weekend in Wellington, they were at the airport heading off to play in OZ.
Great display of tats etc when the boys all took their shirts off to haka after their win last weekend. Lots of local ladies came over all faint and unnecessary at all that fine flesh.

Went to see ROOM today. All you young mums, especially of little lads, DO NOT MISS IT. It moved me beyond tears and I am a tough old bird who is Mum to four very large fellas, all well over six foot now. It is an exceptional movie.

As for dear Ian, I think he enjoyed being wrestled over. I've still got the paparazzi shot from that Baftas - you certainly carried off that Big Daddy leotard with style woof.

Have you read it kuia? It's sitting by my bedside in the increasingly dusty pile of books yet to be read.

Was it rhubarb who mentioned enjoying Dickensian? I love it although I'm desperately hoping the characters aren't going to end up with the fates in the novels.

ilove delays due to fog,but after that swiss efficiency kicked in. Knew my comments about trying new skis would Jinx things...all lifts closed due to high winds, so really thankful have WiFi can keep up with all of you. Plus hotel does have BBC TV so caught the rugby.

woof must be on the same wave length as the loo sign made me smile too, added to riches hot tub comment.
Be careful with any of woofs suggestions for alternative uses of the airer pix you might invalidate the guarantee if it goes
pear shape.Grin

Happy New Thread!

I went to see Room last weekend with DD and we both really enjoyed it. She had read the book and said the film was just as good (often I think the film can be a bit of a disappointment if it's a book you have loved).

It's the first time in ages that I've been to the cinema- dh has some hearing loss and doesn't enjoy it any more. I now go about twice a year when DD can fit me in!

I must admit that some films seem to have terrible sound quality, or perhaps it's our local cinema - there's nothing wrong with my hearing and sometimes it is a strain to catch all the dialogue. The actors sometimes seem to mumble as well. I'm going to stop moaning now before I sound any more like my mum!

I was out most of yesterday watching DS1 and ds3 doing sport. It was so windy and my eyes got really irritated. Now I seem to have conjunctivitis- very attractive!

Morning. Wow thread 33 Smile
Hope the weather improves BK it's sunny here now though cold

Wasn't sure I wanted to see Room. Read the book with a book club a while ago. Really good though v challenging subject matter. I thought that some of the boy's mannerisms reminded me of autistic indicators which I guess would happen if you were deprived social interaction

Am enjoying Outlander ( don't know what I would do without you lovely lot for book and dvd box set recommendations Grin). It does feel a bit over glamorised and in that way reminds me a bit of Reign - guess that's how Americans like their history. It's a period of history I know nothing about which given I'm 1/4 Scottish (and therefore the last generation technically allowed the wear the clan tartan) is woeful. Has made me want to visit Scotland more having never been north of Edinburgh. I do want to go to Iona just need to get round to sorting and when and how - DH doesn't drive and it's a long way with one person driving. Does anyone know where it's filmed. We were watching episode 4 and 5 last night and the scenery was breathtaking

Happy New thread, although if you haven't seen how ice ended the last one.....swoon. Going to treat myself to painted's latest as a reward, proud that I've finished my marking already. Might rewatch a few select parts of Outlander too, before returning it to it's rightful owner who I'm sure might be missing it!! Happy Sunday, or Rainingagainday!

Aargh. DS2 is athlete of the week which means he is supposed to get photos of him playing sports with camera from school . Dispatch him and DH of to rugby with said camera. Didn't think it requires further explanation. Camera comes back with 1 photo DS2 looking miserable no rugby ball in sight! Heating is now on to get kit dried in time before it's too dark to mock up some photos in the garden. Do they not think??
