God, that was tough going. I'm all snots and tears here sad

Brenda Blethyn is pure magic.

Was anyone else watching?

Cocolepew Sun 31-Jan-16 22:11:00

Oh nooo! Was it a new one?

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff Sun 31-Jan-16 22:14:27

Yep, it was indeed. I'm watching UTV Ireland, could be different where you are (sorry, don't mean to be presumptuous)!

Samcro Sun 31-Jan-16 22:15:58

wow that was a shocker

Spiderpants Sun 31-Jan-16 22:16:01

Made me cry!

caravanista Sun 31-Jan-16 22:19:10

Love it! Great story line.

RoosterCogburn Sun 31-Jan-16 22:20:14

Wasn't expecting that!

Samcro Sun 31-Jan-16 22:20:26

it was very good.....but why couldn't she just*******(no spoiler but if you have seen it you will know what I mean)

StillStayingClassySanDiego Sun 31-Jan-16 22:21:56

We really enjoyed it albeit very sad towards the end.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff Sun 31-Jan-16 22:25:19

"One day this mac and hat and car could be yours!" sad

Noeuf Sun 31-Jan-16 22:27:15

Samcro I don't know what you mean . I was a bit confused at first - how didn't they know where the girl lived for example?

LaurieFairyCake Sun 31-Jan-16 22:56:45

Good story line. Vera was right about her not being ready, she wasn't a good copper.

Samcro Sun 31-Jan-16 23:03:18

im talking about the police person

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff Sun 31-Jan-16 23:15:37

Coco please stick your fingers in your ears and sing la la la out loud (or the visual equivalent in this case) grin

Samcro please can you explain? smile

Noeuf Mon 01-Feb-16 08:06:07

I'm glad what happened happened as it felt less fluffy.

Samcro Mon 01-Feb-16 08:21:00

I can't say in case someone complains of spoiler....
but B had plans.....i was just sad that bad stuff happened to her rather than her plans happening.(sorry cryptic )

Noeuf Mon 01-Feb-16 08:48:32

I get what you mean. I think it would have been a bit too 'happy ending' otherwise. I like a bit of grit in my drama.

2rebecca Mon 01-Feb-16 19:46:27

I gave up after half an hour. Vera was too fluffy and mumsy for my liking, much prefer Endeavour. I like a bit more steel in my female senior cops, she just wasn't believable to me.

BringMeTea Tue 02-Feb-16 01:24:01

I cried. Never cried at Vera before. Nothing fluffy in this one rebecca. Oddly enough I also cried at Endeavour today as I watched the most recent one on catch up. I am on day 3 of hrt. I am joining the hormonal dots.... grin

Agree Brenda is brilliantly watchable. As is Shaun Evans.

Veritat Thu 04-Feb-16 07:55:52

Good grief, how can anyone think Vera is fluffy? You need to watch more, 2rebecca.

Cocolepew Sun 14-Feb-16 20:36:11

I've only managed to see tonight, don't know why it's not on the ITV player angry.
I'm in NI too grin

Mouseinahole Sun 14-Feb-16 23:27:00

I didn't see the point in making Alex a lesbian girl on tv when he is a young man in the book.
