Corrie Thread - Shall we send the scriptwriters a link to Corriepedia so they remember important character facts?

Surely not much longer to wait now until the new producer starts? Things must improve, mustn't they?

Hanging on by my fingernails at the minute.

Thanks for the new thread! No mistaking the links :)

I'm waiting for Tracey shop to go bust , so far they have ordered one bunch of flowers for Carla! Who is going to the flower supplier at 6am to pick up the best blooms?

Fingers crossed for a mass cull of characters. Won't hold my breath though.

I always hope for that Clawdy.

Sad git that I am, I was actually thinking about the viability of Tracey's shop this morning on the way to work. She hasn't got a car / delivery van so how is she going to deliver flowers? And how did she get the Interflora contract so quickly? Will the big lorry from Holland be able to get down the narrow streets and under the viaduct?

... so they remember important facts?

Ooh - we're complaining about exactly the same thing on the Archers thread! Ever since they disappeared the archivist the scriptwriters have been making factual mistakes, forgetting previous conversations and completely upending personalities.

Can't comment on Corrie ...

Missed the inter flora sign surely it costs loads to register with them and get a proven track record of delivery to use their name?

I want to know what happened to community centre and the lady who ran it? Not that I miss as she was v annoying. Why isn't there a carers group or toddler group there any more?

Yes I thought Preston's petals wasn't done very realistically. No passing trade on a tiny backstreet for start. No van for deliveries. It's all a bit lame.

I want to know how Izzy gets up and down the stairs to Anna's flat.

Where is Ozzy the dog? What sort of 'health and safety course' did Gary go on that he was away for about a month? And has his and Izzy's baby been left in a shop somewhere?

The scriptwriters did admit their blunder over Kevin's baby that died 15 years ago and was forgotten about by everybody when Kevin said something like 'I can't imagine what it's like to lose to child' or something like that.

I reckon Tracey has taken about £12 in the florist till since the 'grand' opening.

It has gone right off the boil for me.

Has Traceyluv had floristry training? Confused

DH remarked that Anna looks like Nigella Lawson the other day.

Tracy was a florist years ago, I think it might have been when she was the other actress and was first married to Robert.

Owen installed a stair lift to the flat when they first moved it, he 'got it cheap' somewhere or other.

MadHattersWineParty · 26/01/2016 17:44

Grin at the 'cheap' Stannah stair lift- that doesn't sound very safe!

Gary's course was an Anger Management Health and Safety Course. You can still throw heavy cardboard boxes at people, but you have to bend from the knees.

Report
Akire · 26/01/2016 17:57

The stair lift is rubbish her chair is about the same size as mine -even with the door opening on to the street there isn't the room to park her chair in the metre space inside. Even if she took all foot plates of she would have to park it touching the wall so no room to climb in or out.
They never show her using the tradesman entrance to get into work either while everyone else goes up the steps. From what we seen of packing there steps up from them to factory anyway.

Same when they lived in the house you can't get a big chair over a normal PVC door frame because there will be a step up and over. My sister has one i need big heavy ramps to get in and out. Yet she used to come and go no problems.

Never show her dying for a wee but can't get into loo at cafe, pub either.

Wonder how Emily is getting on in the foothills of the Andes Hmm

I think Tracy worked (briefly) at the florist's run by Lucy, mother of Simon.

Sparklingbrook · 26/01/2016 18:20

I happened to see the Emily going to Peru episode. WTF?

Ah so Tracy knows all about floristry.

I do quite want Gail to get her underfloor heating though. A body under her granny flat might liven things up a bit, and I like Helen Worth when they're not just making her a parody of herself.

Where has Les Dennis gone (panto season must be over now surely?!) and who is running Street Cars?

I thought he said he didn't have a vote in Sally's ward so there was no point trying to impress him.

Report
Akire · 26/01/2016 18:37

Thanks that makes sense, was concerned because people already confused if people with learning disabilities "are allowed" to vote. Didn't want him be giving impression he can't.

Just checked in Corripedia. Tracy had a Saturday job at Maggie's Flowers and worked there for a couple of years after she left school. Maggie was another of Ken's conquests., and had a son with Mike Baldwin. When Tracy met Robert he was a carpet fitter.
