Anyone else put it on series record?

DH said, "You can tell it's January when deluded escapism is back on!"

I love it, but have no intention of ever moving to Oz.

I have a love/hate relationship with it and I am still scarred by the 'Poor Brendan' episode. Sad Grin

Yes wonder how Brendan is doing?
Watched today's felt sorry for their youngest and was surprised at how blunt the granny was!

Oooooh, it's back, isn't it?

No more live tutting from me, I'm afraid. I'll need to catch up on iplayer now that they've shifted the airtime from 9 to 11am.

I've had two friends go on it. One of the couples went for it, split up after 20 years together and he stayed and seems happy. Other couple decided to stay in the UK for the time being.

I saw this when I was off on leave- he house they really wanted/envisaged was £100k more than they could afford, he would've had to have taken a pay cut, childcare was
uber expensive, she was told she'd struggle to get a job, and yet the husband was still keen. I really wonder about people sometimes.

What's the story with Brendan then?

I've got my guilty pleasure series link. Watched yesterday's last night and the family back home annoyed me - I hate the guilt trip ones!

I can't catch it at 11am so will need to sort the planner out.

Brendan's episode was awful. His 'D'W and his three daughters spent the whole time wearing him down. she had brainwashed the daughters into wanting to go to Oz. He spent a lot of the episode in tears, and us on MN spent the whole episode like this. Shock

I think they went though. Confused

the woman today was awful, bossy and sulky, I felt sorry for the guy.

Why oh why show them houses they can't afford! And then they say it's not unrealistic. Err yes it is.

Nuts checked the update, today's family have remained in the UK. At least they got a nice holiday out of it.

I think I knew within the first few minutes that they wouldn't go.

Yay a new thread. I came on to start one because i couldnt find one yesterday. I dont like the new time. I could watch it at 9.15 and then go to work. Now i have to watch it when i get home from work.

I dont think either of these families will go.

How cruel was yesterdays mum. Her kids were saying that they didnt want to go and she still made them try it. Even if they did move those kids woukd be miserable.

The woman today was a right bossy cow.

I also can not believe that todays lady had to give up her job to go on WDU.

Poor Brendan, his wife sounds like a omelette knobber.

When my Dad was about six my Granda applied for that Ten Pound Pom thing, had the tickets and everything. At the last minute Granny decided she didn't want to go. Said she'd miss her family who she never saw too much.

Report
TheCraicDealer · 05/01/2016 19:44

Dammit, "complete" not omelette. I now have a mental image of someone doing rude things with egg products.

I didn't notice it was back on. Will be watching tomorrow.
