Ooh I'm the first on here, that's never happened before. I go into London one day a work for my job so was absent yesterday. So no news on BA in OG2 as of yet?

Hello all. New Thread and thought I'd better join it as I've been on all the others and couldn't miss this one. I've been woefully absent for most of 29 and have to confess I've had some health worries that have dragged me down for a while but got some good news today so now putting it behind me and looking forward to Christmas, OG news in 2016 (hope the cast is announced soon!) and OG2 itself, won't be long till the Autumn and most of all looking forwards to more frivolity on here.

rhub I'm glad you are feeling well, but sorry that you had to go through a scare. Hugs to you.

Thread 30, who'd believed it!!!

I'm starting to feel Christmassy (even though I still haven't written my cards, always something better to do!) I have quite a few nights out now up until Christmas which is good, although not on the bank balance or my waist line! Up in London tomorrow night and managed to book Friday off work, phew!

I saw a CJ lookalike in shopping centre today, I had to double take and stare, he was with a ridiculously pretty girl, he even sounded right as he asked her " did the jeans fit". I was droolingGrin

Thanks rich and pixie. Onwards and upwards. Have to confess I haven't written any cards yet which is nothing new for me. I absolutely hate doing it even though it's never as bad as I think it will be when I get started but every card that arrives in the post from more orgnanised people makes me feel guilty. I have a day off tomorrow so will be making lots of Christmas efforts such as card writing and pre-Christmas tidying and sorting out. I didn't make a cake this year so was envious of yours pixie. DH has said he doesn't care if we don't have one so I'll probably leave it this year but will make mince pies. I always make dozens thinking I'll need them for visitors but seldom have any and end up eating them all myself - what a pity.

I'm watching It Takes Two and really looking forward to the semi final. I have to confess that I have known who was voted off each week by Saturday evening but have kept it to myself. I just can't be bothered to wait until Sunday night and it always seems so silly when they talk about 'Last Night' and you know they recorded it about half an hour after the show finished. Anyway still want Georgia to win because she's 'Our Girl' as close as we can get.

I always forget that the results are done on the night, think ilove mentioned it a while back.

I made Christmas cakes a couple of weeks ago (mainly cause all the ingredients where on offer) I've been feeding them brandy. I do a round for MIL and then a big square which I cut into four to give to various people and then I keep a little one for us. It's only me that really eats it and like you say rhubarb I just scoff by myself! So better that I have a little one! Last year I did a "CJ inspired Stag" for my friend, need to think what to do this year.. Maybe just silver balls!!!

Evening all.

Glad your health scare proved negative Rhubarb. Situations like that definitely put things into perspective. You can look forward to the rapidly approaching festive season now (oh, I guess we're already in it, aren't we?)

I have to confess I look on the William Hill website first thing on a Sunday morning to see who has dropped off the SCD list. I only discovered last year when checking on our odds for our once a year bet that I could then work out who had been voted off.

Today was better at work and our fundraising is going better than expected. We made £250 on the cake sale and our total so far since the end of October is £1,070 but we had a lot more money come in this afternoon from my raffle ticket sellers so I have to sit and count it tonight. My neighbour has offered to come over to separate the remaining raffle tickets whilst I do the banking bit. We'll have a final total tomorrow lunchtime.

I'm thrilled to bits. 13 months after I first wrote I finally have his autograph. I even told a girl at work about him today and showed her a photo of him. And I may have mentioned I was getting his autograph today Smile

rhu so pleased you are all OK. Must be such a relief.

ice :) you got your autograph finally! Hopefully he'll have a word with his agency for not passing stuff on to him or sack them and employ us, who would, as we all know, do a much better job!. I showed DH, mine and he was distinctly unimpressed!! DS and DD on the other hand thought it was brilliant!!!!

pix I was so impressed with your cake, I rang my mum for her recipe, went to Sainsbury's and bought all the ingredients ... and they are all still sitting in the bag! But, I am determined to make a cake before Christmas!!

Much like the Christmas cake, though, nothing else much has been done, but the kids break up next week, so I need to make more of an effort, as nothing much will get done after that! Might gonna have to go and buy some cards tomorrow, as the kids need to write there's to their friends before they break up (there is no way I am driving round delivering them again) ... some mums are so organised their kids were giving them out on the 1st of December! Impressive Xmas Smile

Don't be too impressed with the cake, it's the first time I've done one. DS has been cleared by the allergy clinic to have tree nuts so I'm excited to be able to cook something this year. My gluten free brother won't be able to have any so we'll be eating Xmas cake well into January.

I'm so behind in my present buying, no one except DS has been bought for.

MIL has been doing some epic stirring today; she's obsessed with getting me & MrP married. She even told him that I'd said I'd marry him if he asked when I said nothing of the sort. When we tell her to bog off and mind her own business she plays the cancer card Angry
