Kittyfrickle Mon 09-Nov-15 21:28:33

How does it get that bad with one person living in it. I admit I leave dirty pots and other cleaning for a day or 2 sometimes but never would my flat be that dirty shock

god knows it gets me mad

seasidesally Mon 09-Nov-15 21:43:48

there's plenty out there, trouble is then many think all benefit claimants are like this

they are not

Kittyfrickle Mon 09-Nov-15 21:46:40

Before I left work I was on £700 a month full time and my friend who is on the dole got much more money than me and was able to go out and spend on herself more than me. I know some people genuinely can't work but my friend could have and just used the 'I get more benefits than your wages so why should I get a job'. I worked long (and illegal) hours and night shifts and still didn't have the luxuries some people on benefits doangry

When she said that people with less money are more likely to be obese because healthy food is expensive, HA I lived on McDonald's and takeaways (because I was too tired to cook) for weeks when I worked there and I lost weight grin

seasidesally Mon 09-Nov-15 21:47:33

Why do people watch this bollocks?

because Doc Martin has ended grin

Kittyfrickle Mon 09-Nov-15 21:48:36

Fair enough those who genuinely can't work for many reasons, I'm glad they get help from the government. My mum physically couldn't work as she was a single mother raising me with no one else to take over and couldn't afford childcare, I'm so grateful for the benefit system for helping us. But the people that use it as an excuse not to work and don't even try do give those on the dole a bad name

Kittyfrickle Mon 09-Nov-15 21:49:58

Yes seasidesally, there's nothing else on that catches my eye and I'd usually be watching Docgrin

seasidesally Mon 09-Nov-15 21:50:32

we try are best

Kittyfrickle Mon 09-Nov-15 21:53:05

Sorry I got a bit carried away there grin

Owllady Mon 09-Nov-15 21:55:33

The thing I am most shocked about is that some landlord is exploiting the system by letting that bedsit out to the local authority for £110 pm. Even if you removed his mess, it was inappropriate and needs updating, repairing and decorating. I imagine someone even without issues, would get to the point they couldn't be bothered to do anything. It's a terrible situation to find yourself in.

seasidesally Mon 09-Nov-15 21:55:40

she has a Ralf Lauren jacket on

james90 Mon 09-Nov-15 21:58:02

even fucking better on benefits and 26 kids and still counting on next OMFG

Owllady Mon 09-Nov-15 21:58:06

Well they're not just exploiting the system, they are exploiting people. It was the same on that Jaywick program, renting out those prefab places for £650 pm.
