Elvis and me, Joanna Lumley

Did anyone else watch this?

There was a fair bit on this I didn't know. I'm pleased it focused more on his youth and how he began.

So sad that he died at 42. My sister was a huge fan. She was heartbroken when he died. Locked herself in my Nana's downstairs loo. I was pretty young and thought she'd do herself harm.

I don't think I'll buy the album with the orchestra. I like Elvis but am not a huge fan. I still found the programme fascinating though.

I watched, I thought it was good, but being an Elvis fan I didn't "learn" anything new.

I do like Joanna Lumley though Smile, not so keen on Priscilla, although I am grateful for what she did with Elvis' estate after he died.

I've been to Graceland, Sun Studios, Tupelo etc so I loved seeing all that again.

The album is great, I love it, but won't ever replace the original sounds. Not so keen on Fever with Michael Buble, but that's because I don't like Elvis "duets" but absolutely love Burning Love.

Same as you,MrsPresley have visited those places too. Will never forget standing in Sun Studios listening to his first recording of My Happiness, hoped they would include that. Enjoyable programme though.
