A question for Dexter fans.

I've just discovered Dexter! I thought the first series was absolutely fantastic, and I was truly addicted. The second series was good, but not as good. I'm now on the third series and I'm really not enjoying it. I'm finding the storyline a bit pants, and I'm gutted. Does it get better? There are five more series to go, does it go back to it's original glory?

skip on to about series 6 or 7, it gets better again then

No it doesn't get better. Trust me on this. Series 6 is just dire. The first two series are amazing and series 3 is alright . But no, you've had the best in my opinion

It just gets so farcical

The TV series starts off well, but loses steam in later series. Read the books instead, they are consistently good.

Season 4 is ace!

I watched all of Dexter in an incredibly short period of time as I loved it so much. It does get better again but then finishes embarrassingly badly. Worth watching though IMO

Series with trinity is good!

I'm gutted that it's not consistently good. Watching boxsets is such a commitment, I'm not sure what to do. Dilemma Grin

My favourite is the season with John Lithgow. He's just utterly, utterly perfect. I thought I wouldn't be able to get past his character in 3rd Rock From the Sun, but I forgot all about that in minutes he was so good.

Deteriorates. Rapidly.

How could they let this happen?? The first series was perfection. I thought the US pulled any show that was rubbish.

Yes, the trinity series is excellent. I'm sorry to say though, the actual ending of the whole thing is seriously shite. I still enjoyed watching it all.

Right, I will definitely continue. I like watching him have all the sex, if nothing else Grin

Trinity and the Doomsday series (6 I think) with Colin Hanks, are the best after series 1 imo

Yes, it does get better. I can't remember which series is which, but I hated the one with the English girl with long dark hair. The series with John Lithgow was fantastic, I found him terrifying. The Colin Hanks series was good too.

I thought the Trinity series was the best.

I can't forgive the dire way the wrapped Dexter up at the very end - it still annoys me.

I loved Dexter, I agree though the ending was bad.

Deeds watch Trinity season 4 and the one with Colin Hanks but don't watch say the last 10 minutes of the last ever episode. Utter shite ending and knocked Lost off my number 1 shite ending spot
