Haven't watched Holby City for years, stumbled across it last week and watched again tonight. What is the back story of the nurse and the guy who was the father of the baby ? Is he having an affair with the mother, it seemed a bit weird ?

Cop and nurse were almost caught out by beardy last week having a heated convo - so cop grabbed her and they kissed as a cover up. Beardy just assumed cop was a right old lad for pulling the nurse there and then. Hence his comment last night.
