Hi, everything I have enjoyed has finished or I have completed the series on Netflix. .i have run out of inspiration and am too tiered to read. I fancy something gently funny...
I've enjoyed orange is the new black, this is England, the bbc literary adaptations, breaking bad and am looking forward to the new Fargo and the gentle comedy about the one night stand between the American and the Irish woman which results in an unplanned pregnancy.
I don't enjoy soaps part from the archers .
I have been rewarding Alan Partridge, the Office and the inbetweeners but I'd really like something new to get my teeth into.

Please inspire me,I only have Netflix and the very basic free tv channels.

Thank you!

Then you should be joining us on 'Unforgotten'. We moved from Dr Foster (finished last Wednesday) to 'Unforgotten' which started on Thursday.

We have a thread here in Telly-Addicts:

Mumsnet Telly-Addicts 'Unforgotten' - 9pm Thursdays

Unforgotten Episode 1 on ITV catchup

Ah thanks both, I will check out unforgotten and suits. I found a movie tonight, About Time, quite sweet and engaging if a little saccharine at times and slightly overlong.

Just watched unforgotten. Intriguing, thank you, and of course the risible apprentice has started tonight so I think my telly mojo is back on!
I think that there are similar drams which I may have missed,if u can think of anymore that I might like that would be great. I have ill health and many nights home alone when the dumplings are in bed.
Thanks.

Don't forget that episode 2 of Unforgotten is on at 9pm this evening - ITV. We'll be on our discussion thread to chat about it during and after.

I am also on my own Jane (see my ID) so being able to chat about TV series online makes such a difference to me. (The dog's not interested and he certainly can't answer any questions when I get confused Grin )

If you were a fan of the French supernatural drama The Returned, a new series starts tomorrow on More4.

Thank you Luna, I haven't seen The Returned, not a big fan of supernatural stuff, too much imagination! Things prey on my mind!

jane do you like period dramas?

If so, we have a Downton Abbey thread - and it is on catch-up if you have missed this series:

Downton Abbey ITV Sunday 9pm-10pm catch-up

The new mumsnet Downton Abbey thread for 18th October 2015

From there, Ineedascarfformygiraffe recommended 'The Buccaneers' (written by Edith Wharton) and I found it on YouTube:

I then found 'Berkley Square' on YouTube - BBC 1998 - about the lives of 4 nannies looking after children in Upper Middle Class/Lower Upper Class England:

If I find anything else during my insomniac hours, I'll post in case you might like them also. (I am not into comedy myself, and I couldn't manage My England because of the swearing.)

sadwidow thanks so much for the links. I do love period drama but for some reason I have never watched downton, not really sure why.

I do have insomnia although I'm fighting it as have so much to do during the day (I know I'm not the only one!) I think if I start watching telly/YouTube during the night, I might wake myself up too much!

Okay, As you will see, my insomnia is with me again!

I have just watched this film on BBC iplayer:

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ALISON CREED

British thriller. Alice Creed is abducted and held against her will by two ex-convicts who have meticulously planned the kidnap to get a ransom from her millionaire father. Whilst held captive in a soundproofed room, it is clear that everything is not as it seems and that each of those involved knows more than they are willing to disclose.
