Today it's CloverSpa which had previously appeared on HI . Thought we'd seen rather too much of the naturist host before! Is it part of the deal with channel 4 to get extra publicity that they are included in further programmes as this is at least the 3rd to do so.

I admit it , I am hooked on 4 in a bed,for all the wrong reasons. Some of the contestants ,you question why they would want to enter such a competition , possibly believing that any publicity is better than none. The woman with the animal and people spa b+b ,in my mind was one of those people. It was her way or no way and her husband just took it all. The couple that won , were worthy winners and good sports too .

I also watch 4-in-a-bed (have been hooked since it was 3-in-a-bed) but some of the participants are simply not REAL.

There was a hotel in a previous series( was a seaside town) who was on hotel inspector and a boutique hotel in Essex was on it as well i obviously watch far to much reality telly because i usually spot them. Ive seen clover spa mans hotel inspector too. They are usually on the hotel inspector first

Oh and a hotel called art house or something were on 4 in a bed and alex tore strips off him at his brighton hotel

yes that guy was a student running it as a bohemian style glorified doss house in HI. A few years later he popped up on 4 in a Bed with a similar, if more stylish, one in Cornwall and another in London.

We love the more eccentric ones - lady with the huge Maine Coon cats and the pet graveyard tour is a favourite , and the German lady in the New Forest who loved mushroom picking.

Yeah his hotels on 4 in a bed were much better I loved the german lady she was Mrs something no first name obviously. I have stayed in a 3 in a bed B n B on tv she came over well in reality she was bonkers she wafted about in her dressing gown

Mrsjayy I also clearly watch far too much reality TV because I think you are referring to Artists Residence (Brighton). The parents owned it but the student son was running it. But after Hotel Inspector, he opened up 2 more Artist Residence Hotels.

All 3 in the chain are now classed as Boutique Hotels - the 2 additional ones are in Cornwall and London

Do you remember Episode 48 - KirriBilli, Newquay, Cornwall

The 'owner' was a right pain all the way through - his B&B was actually filthy - and he didn't arrive at breakfast one day. It was said he had to leave the programme for 'personal reasons'.

Well, t'internet provided the story! It was alleged that there was fighting over dinner, GBH perpetrated with a fork in the back of a hand and accosting a member of the crew who tried to protect the other B&B diners, throwing water over 2 females, arrested by police for drink driving, spent a night in jail ............. and then it is alleged that he was the manager of KirriBilli and the owners didn't even know that he had entered the B&B onto the programme.

Google it - it is fascinating reading. The locals were reporting in real time on facebook!

sadwidow, was that the guy who painted the tiles in his bathrooms with emulsion and couldn't understand why the guests were annoyed.

I love four in a bed, delighted it's back on, I also record the reruns on more4 on Saturdays

I'm new to this and addicted.
The b an b in Blackpool beginning with R, run by heavily tattooed ex-Stringfellow bouncer (who won) was £ backed by Ron Weasley.

The last one that I watched was fab. Two of the couples were just horrendous; criticised everything and then guests found old shoes under the bed. Not sure if it was the most recent; won by a woman who looks like a young Sarah Ferguson.

Nearly every time the best one (imo) wins except once when two men drastically underpaid everyone so they won.

I've seen that episode twice now, and it was on hearing "he has left the competition for personal reasons" for the 2nd time that I started Googling. I found a local facebook account that gave a blow-by-blow account of what was happening as it happened. Fascinating!

I do remember the episode when one of the couples was staying in what was clearly the hosts bedroom. The clothes in the drawers where a clue.

LIZS yes they were as far as I remember, it took me a while to place them and then thought of coach trip.

hesterton, it looks fab, did you meet them, I'd say they are a hoot

The castle couple on last weeks episodes were a bit strange, he was so up himself it was unbelievable, yet she seemed to be a bit all fur coat and no knickers type of person, and the last couple, well she was just plain rude, walking away when the other lady was complaining.
