This is like my worst nightmare, I hate being chased up the stairs, let alone around the country

PermetsTu · 10/09/2015 21:06

I'd love to do this!

What shite. Surely they'd have packed their bag and got cash ready beforehand?

Yeah. Emily needs to calm the fuck down. It's not Challenge Anneka.

Challenge Anneka lol Grin

They show has provided them with a bank account with money in it. I think that is the only cash they are allowed. Don't know why they wouldn't have already packed!

Just started watching and a bit confused about what's going on...can anyone explain please?!

Report
PermetsTu · 10/09/2015 21:17

Presumably they were told not to pack. I guess it's to see how well you do at suddenly having to disappear. Of course, the hardy amongst us would never live without a well stocked and maintained OFRS.

Tip number one, if you're running away in a vehicle, stick to the back roads.

TheBubGrower · 10/09/2015 21:18

Maybe they were told they weren't allowed to have a bag packed so that it's more spontaneous, so they literally just have to get up and go as quickly as they can, packing on the spot, like real fugitives probably would?

squickety

"Tonight at 9pm the UK's Channel 4 will begin airing Hunted, a six-part "real life thriller" that follows 14 contestants as they try to escape capture for 28 days. A command-and-control centre staffed with ex-spooks and counter-terrorism experts will try to sniff out the 14 fugitives via technological means, with their intel being fed to a ground team of "hunters"??ex-cops and bounty hunters??who will chase the contestants around the country and attempt to apprehend them."

Just out of curiosity where would you head to if you were on the show?

Report
TheBubGrower · 10/09/2015 21:22

West Wales, it's pretty off grid!

Would you not be better off somewhere busy like London?

Report
TheSpottedZebra · 10/09/2015 21:27

Not central London - CCTV and police everywhere. Somewhere in outer London - busy but not as covered by cameras would be a good idea.

Silly tit entering show like this with a very small child. I wouldn't leave DD for a month with no contact for a game show.

I think that my non - usage of social media (other than MN) would serve me here. As long as they couldn't access my MN account, there's not much that they could find of me on the Internet.
Also, I'm massively non-descript physically. That would help me not be noticed and not be recalled I think.

TheBubGrower · 10/09/2015 21:31

Can they not just get a tent, food, and hold up in a field/ somewhere remote for a month? Or do they need to keep on the move? I think rural would work well because of less CCTV
