Ricky - fab
WillIam - fab
Paloma Faith - No, a million times no.
Boy George - a disgusting little boil on the arse of humanity. The BBC has chosen a man convicted of violent crime, drug offences and making false claims to the police to front their show?! shock

What's next, Chris Brown to host?

no tom?

MadAsgardian Sat 15-Aug-15 08:31:23

Agreed. Tom Jones is peeved at being sacked with no consultation.

I won't be watching. I never cared for TJ before but love him since seeing him on The Voice.

Stellar67 Sat 15-Aug-15 08:32:18

No Tom, no Stella

DansonslaCapucine Sat 15-Aug-15 08:33:10

Someone shared Tom's statement on Facebook last night. He was ousted without consultation. The fuckers.

I won't be watching either - are you reading BBC?

The sooner we do away with the BBC the better.

Sparklingbrook Sat 15-Aug-15 08:33:40

I think it could be quite interesting TBH.

DansonslaCapucine Sat 15-Aug-15 08:33:50

Tom Jones was The Voice.

LoveVintage Sat 15-Aug-15 08:33:55

Tom was ditched. I saw something on social media, he put out a statement saying he'd expected to be going back, had kept the time free etc but has just been told he is not coming back. His statement was worded in a quite dignified way but he was obviously not happy.

Soundofsettling Sat 15-Aug-15 08:34:48

Tom has left a very dignified message up on social media and I loved him on the voice, could not be less interested in boy george!

Sparklingbrook Sat 15-Aug-15 08:35:21

On balance I prefer the new Voice panel to the X Factor one.

Soundofsettling Sat 15-Aug-15 08:36:42

As an aside I shall be channelling tom whenever I need to write a ,"fuck you, you fucking fuckers" email.

DansonslaCapucine Sat 15-Aug-15 08:37:52

Oh, I gave up on The X Factor long ago.

Ledkr Sat 15-Aug-15 08:38:47

I love Tom, what a pity.

B George does know his music though, I think he will give good critique.
Palona is quite funny tbh.
I'll watch it, I like it better than the X factor

Sparklingbrook Sat 15-Aug-15 08:39:56

Me too Dansons. I never understood its popularity.
I like The Voice but never watch once the chairs are no longer spinning.

sanityforlunch Sat 15-Aug-15 08:40:20

Oh no Tom was such a popular judge. Don't understand the thinking there.

I much prefer the voice to X factor.

NicoleWatterson Sat 15-Aug-15 08:40:23

I love Paloma faith, everything I've seen her on she's come across as lovely. surprised they didn't keep Tom. It gave them a difference with X factor having a legend like that on there.

sanityforlunch Sat 15-Aug-15 08:41:03

I don't mind Paloma Faith. She is a character (compared to Rita Ora.)

Sparklingbrook Sat 15-Aug-15 08:43:18

I wonder if any were asked and turned it down? There must have been.

insancerre Sat 15-Aug-15 08:46:07

Well I don't watch it but I might start now. Paloma faith is quite funny and my heart has belonged to boy George since I first saw him on top of the pops with do you really want to hurt me

maureendaly Sat 15-Aug-15 08:46:56

I was in my late teens in the early 1980s so I suppose I'm of the Boy George era. Never really cared for Culture Club, think he's probably got the wrong attitude for The Voice, and would much prefer TJ. If it's true that he wasn't told, this has been handled appallingly. Going for the shock story, oh yea, sounds like X Factor which I dumped 4 years ago.
Very disappointed by this news and won't be watching.

Noeuf Sat 15-Aug-15 08:47:21

Blimey that's gone a bit wrong for them. How odd not to mention that Tom was dropped in all the announcements. In May tom is up there advertising the auditions. Pay issue?

Sparklingbrook Sat 15-Aug-15 08:48:47

Boy George is always very entertaining. I would have preferred Simon Le Bon though.

pomegranatesandfilms Sat 15-Aug-15 09:11:37

Boy George, well certainly interesting to watch but a sordid choice for early evening light entertainment. Is he all they could find?

SuburbanRhonda Sat 15-Aug-15 09:15:43

The BBC said TJ was never signed up for more than four seasons and he knew that.

But I honestly can't see TJ pretending he didn't know - what would be the point? He seems to have a lot more integrity than that.

hugoagogo Sat 15-Aug-15 09:17:55

How is George's voice holding up I wonder? I am thinking about those cringe making judge numbers...
