Just started watching this and it's crap. Does it get any better? I watched up to episode 3 thinking surely it must improve by now - I haven't laughed once.

Listmaker Mon 06-Jul-15 22:16:35

Oh I love it. But maybe it's just not for you then?

scrumpkin Mon 06-Jul-15 22:22:49

Nope. Gets worse imo

ftmsoon Mon 06-Jul-15 22:24:28

It is what it is. I luffs it.

OllyBJolly Mon 06-Jul-15 22:25:37

I hardly watch any telly but do like this. I like the characters and do find it amusing, if not in a lol way.

fleamadonna Mon 06-Jul-15 22:26:30

I couldn't get into it, but mostly because I was irrationally distracted by the fact it's Guy and Caroline from Green Wing which I LOVE.

partystress Mon 06-Jul-15 22:31:17

Stephen Mangan could make me watch anything. Plus Matt Le Blanc is such a brilliantly loveable but totally despicable character, that it is compelling. And Carol is fab too. Actually, it is just brilliant now I come to think of it... and I have two episodes to catch up with grin

BIWI Mon 06-Jul-15 22:32:13

It's brilliant. But I think when this series ends, it will have run its course.

Osmiornica Tue 07-Jul-15 19:05:02

Hmm, bit of a mixed bag then. I'll try one more to see if it improves. If not I'll have to find something else.

OllyBJolly Wed 08-Jul-15 07:46:29

Osmornica I think this might be the last series - it seems to have run its course.

Have you tried Veep? Starts again next week - possibly one of my favourite shows ever.

Osmiornica Wed 08-Jul-15 08:26:55

I've never heard of veep - is it on netflix? I'll take a look, thanks smile

Wagglebee Wed 08-Jul-15 13:57:43

I love it. Maybe it's just not your taste. They've commissioned another series.

piechuck Wed 08-Jul-15 14:05:36

Myra is my favourite comedy character ever "her voice annoys me". Genius!

UnspecialSnowflake Wed 08-Jul-15 14:07:40

I've never seen it but DH absolutely loves it, and he generally has pretty good taste in TV programmes.

AnnoyedByAlfieBear Wed 08-Jul-15 14:27:26

I love it!

magicstar1 Wed 08-Jul-15 14:36:06

I've just watched all 4 seasons and enjoyed it...not laugh out loud, but I thought Matt le Blanc was great.

StaircaseAtTheUniversity Wed 08-Jul-15 14:39:04

Another one saying I like it a lot but it doesnt make me laugh out loud. But I do really like it and the writing is great!

2rebecca Wed 08-Jul-15 14:55:50

No, I like the 2 main characters but they were excellent in the Green Wing and are meh in this. I think I just don't care enough about the media world and their crap TV series.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo Tue 14-Jul-15 07:37:02

Are you watching it from the start or the latest series? I think it's better if you start with the first series. Olive this show though.

Osmiornica Tue 14-Jul-15 09:57:27

I started from the 1st series. I've given up on it now though and have started Dexter instead.

NathalieM Tue 14-Jul-15 13:31:19

It's not as smart as most British comedies, and it generally relies on the same setups and jokes, but it's still a comfortable watch. smile

MitzyLeFrouf Tue 14-Jul-15 13:36:20

Which 'most British comedies'? I haven't seen a smart British comedy in a long time.

GatoradeMeBitch Tue 14-Jul-15 13:52:55

I'm watching it on Netflix. I really like it. Especially Matt Le Blanc and bossy Carol from the studio. Can anyone tell me where I can find Season 3 and 4 online?

ThunderbumsMum Tue 14-Jul-15 20:33:52

I have loled at this series, I think it's the funniest so far.

Davros Tue 14-Jul-15 22:46:45

If you haven't seen any smart British comedies you must have had your eyes shut! This thread
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/telly_addicts/2417957-Comedies mentions a few
