Looking forward to a great few weeks of tennis!! Should we be asking MNHQ for some balls!!

So who is going to do well this year? Stan has tough first round match against Kyrios......and Nadal is playing Dolgo I think?

Raahh Sun 14-Jun-15 20:43:36

Thank you! purple

roll on tomorrow!

Raahh Sun 14-Jun-15 20:47:24

I like Dogs- so it's a shame he is up against Rafa first. And how Stan does will depend on whether he has come down off the cloud he must have been on since RG, and whether Kyrgios serves better than he did there. Stan should do it though.

I love Queen's- it is so very English grin

purpleprincess Sun 14-Jun-15 21:00:02

Ok Raah how do you get the balls?

Raahh Sun 14-Jun-15 21:09:51

princess it's

[ tennis ]

It is still there, but no longer on the list - like crown torchbike daffodil dragonfootballshamrock and I'm sure there are others I can't remembergrin

Not sure why they don't leave them on the list- maybe it just makes it a bit long.

Raahh Sun 14-Jun-15 21:10:32

Just checking in to the lovely, shiny new thread tennis.

I'm away on hols atm, so not posting much, but have been lurking a bit when I get bored grin

Delighted for Rafa today, well done him.

Home tomorrow, just in time for Queens. I planned my holiday well wink

Helluva busy week at work coming up but looking forward to the tennis and this thread in the down time!

Drama have you been anywhere exotic?

DramaAlpaca Sun 14-Jun-15 21:57:29

If you count the Costa del Sol in the south of Spain as exotic, then yes!

My family have a little house out here, in the hills away from the busy Costa. It's lovely & peaceful, but you have to drive everywhere. DH & I are having our first holiday without the DC in 22 years, celebrating our silver wedding anniversary on our own - yesss!! It's been lovely - despite no electricity when we arrived late at night, no hot water since we got here because the immersion heater has blown, and bloody mosquitoes that want to eat me alive. Never had them before at this time of year. Thank goodness I've got wine. I'm currently drinking my dad's gin, I'm sure he won't mind... grin

Hi! Thanks for new thread. No one is allowed to be mean to Andrew now that I have decided I like him. Well, you can be a little bit mean if you absolutely have to smile

JuanPotatoTwo Mon 15-Jun-15 13:12:57

MrsV, I know just how you feel after Wimbledon ends. I also feel as if the summer is over. I feel a bit sad today because last year I went to Queens twice, and got some fab close up pics (which I have unaccountably lost off my phone - gutted). Decided not to go this year as felt a bit guilty about spending the money - but I do wish I was there.

JuanPotatoTwo Mon 15-Jun-15 13:19:48

Hope Verdasco puts BustaGut out.

Raahh Mon 15-Jun-15 13:23:08

pfft. juan - I am listening to Andrew now. He is still an idiot. He has just said it is the first day of the grass season- tell that to the people who played at Stuttgart and Den Bosch. hmm

Wazzark. grin

And he's already handed Murray the trophy ( yawn)., Hope he loses in the first round like last year to shut him up.

looking forward to seeing Hewitt. I do love watching him. His last grass season. sad He will be I e person who will rue the day a certain Federer appeared on the scene. I think he would have won Wimby a couple more times.

Raahh Mon 15-Jun-15 13:24:10

and ( ranting) why have we just spent 20 minutes listening to Castle and Murray when the match has already started? angry

Raahh Mon 15-Jun-15 13:26:08

I like Verdasco. Sadly I am unable to link to the rather nice nekkid pic on my phone grin

JuanPotatoTwo Mon 15-Jun-15 13:34:58

I like Verdasco too.

JuanPotatoTwo Mon 15-Jun-15 13:36:47

Although he seems to have aged a lot recently. Not that I can talk.

JuanPotatoTwo Mon 15-Jun-15 13:53:39

Maybe my wish will come true and BustaGut will be going home - Verdasco just taken the second set.

Raahh Mon 15-Jun-15 13:56:06

Raahh Mon 15-Jun-15 14:00:31

obviously in this case Vamos can apply to both. grin

JuanPotatoTwo Mon 15-Jun-15 14:08:04

Interesting camera shot of the strawberries there confused.

Raahh Mon 15-Jun-15 14:16:37

I wonder what Rafa will wear to this? his blue combo will match the blue hoardingsgrin .

(I still miss the red and white of the Stella Artois though- how many years has it been???).
