I've been told that at 20:30 its Spiderman. Hmm

Cheek. Wink

the thread was nearly full. And taking ages.

Vika didn't so much lose, as Serena just batter the ball around the court.

Doesn't matter if it isn't. If someone comes here & corrects your French & grammar they'll be told to ferme la bouche and ferk ourf.

Poor Vika. Sad

Thank you MrsV - it was sad but I felt like I'd done a good thing. Worst part was wading into the freezing cold sea! Hope he saw and appreciated my bravery :) He'd have done the same, and much much much more for me.

I too like Ferk ourf. Kinda posh franglais :)

You're welcome. Grin

I did used to know loads of filthy phrases in lots of languages, my brains gone to mush with the kids ! I've given all my brain power to them, I think !

Not that swearing in multiple languages is anything to be proud of. Sad

I don't like googling, it feels like cheating sometimes.

JuanPotatoTwo · 30/05/2015 20:35

I don't know any filthy phrases in languages other than English. Know quite a lot of them though :)

Bless you, Juan darling. I bet your Dear Dad was looking down feeling very proud of you. Star Flowers

(hope the star isn't patronising - its not intended to be)

I remember feeling that I hoped my little boy was proud when DH and I buried him. He was stillborn, and apart from having him with no pain relief (which is apparently one of the hardest things to do due to lack of 'squishiness' of baby) it was one of the only things I could do to make him proud, bury him and show that he did exist for us.

Silly, really. Blush

Just trying to show really that I have a little idea of how you are and have been feeling.

Not being close to my parents, I don't know if its similar ?

Oh MrsV, that's sad, what a traumatic experience that must have been for you. It's not silly at all, I get where you're coming from and I'm sure your ds was proud of his brave mummy. Must have been a truly horrible time for you. And the star wasn't patronising at all, but gratefully received.

In other news - I'll consider rescinding the divorce papers as dh is now watching Dad's Army.

Thanks, lovely. Wine

Get & fill that t'other thread Grin

MrsVamos · 30/05/2015 20:49

I don't talk about it too widely. You are all just absolute lovelies though, I thought you'd understand.

I don't know that it was traumatic as such, I was in shock, but I'd have to bore you with my baby history for you to 'get' that, I think.

Not sure you want that !

Report
JuanPotatoTwo · 30/05/2015 20:56

I wouldn't be bored by your baby history :( It's lovely you feel you could tell us what you did. Maybe we will all have to meet twice - once to do tennis, and once to do "life" stuff :)

Am jealous of raahh's cider. Trying very hard to eat sensibly - bloody boring.

Juan

What a lovely idea. Smile

Haven't touched alcohol since Christmas. Can't afford it & not overly fussed tbh.

I need to get a bit fitter. I've got a current addiction to clear mints, for some reason. Trouble is, I crunch them through my front teeth Blush - terrible habit.

I do it with dry roasted peanuts too. Every time I do a shop I forget to get soft mints, or chewy ones. Then I remember and think I probably shouldn't be chomping them anyway. Sad

We eat pretty well, considering current circs.

If I could break my sweetie & crisp habits I'd lose a stone I think. Blush

it is my last weekend of drinking. I managed 8 months of not touching a drop, til Christmas. But I need to do something to counteract the huge weight gain from my migraine meds.
So, from Monday, it's low carb. Or something. I've done it before, and I don't mind it, but I struggle because I am a fussy eater. I've got tinned sardines for breakfast. Grin

I love boiled sweets too but I daren't risk crunching them - maybe you have hardened your teeth up with all that chomping!

I've been trying to low carb since January and done ok. But it's not a very forgiving way of eating and just a little cheat has disastrous consequences - for me anyway. I've put back on in the last 2 weeks a third of what I've lost since January. Trying desperately to get back into it but I'm bored and would kill for some cake. Or some chocolate fingers. Or some custard creams. Or some ..., er well you get the picture :)

Oh x post raahh. I have to say low carbing has been the most successful way of losing weight for me. Although, as this is the second time I'm having to do it, it can't be that successful! Enjoy every last drop this weekend raahh.

There are some strange boys in my garden. I'm hoping they're ds2's friends but I'm too lazy to get up and check. They're not doing any harm ....

I hate cooking. When I lived alone, I hardly bothered. I have had a terrible relationship with food all my life- so I basically live on bread, if I can get away with it. So I know that if i stick to low carb, it will work. But it is very easy to slip. I'm more a savoury than sweet person, so never really crave sweets or chocolate. But I do miss a piece of toastGrin
