Anyone else watching?..

Jellykat Sun 17-May-15 21:23:18

Ahaa, am adoring him all by myself then grin

Corygal Sun 17-May-15 21:28:46

I'm beside you on the sofa! I can't help feeling, much as I love the man, that all his motifs and designs are getting a touch repetitious.

springbabydays Sun 17-May-15 21:29:56

Those tiles are amazing!

JustKeepKnitting Sun 17-May-15 21:31:29

I've just started watching it smile

floatyflo Sun 17-May-15 21:32:50

I've just flicked it on. Shame I've missed half of it. Love that drawing he just did in his laptop/pad/posh techy programme.

Jellykat Sun 17-May-15 21:34:56

I loved the lady involved in sticking Julies nipples on all day grin

Think the tiles will look completely different, once merged in with the other details of the house.

LucyInTheSkyWithDonuts Sun 17-May-15 21:36:24

I love Grayson Perry, so talented and creative and yet so accessible... I may need to go to Essex to view this house myself smile

Jellykat Sun 17-May-15 21:38:43

Apparently you can stay in it Lucy - god knows how much that'll cost though

The80sweregreat Sun 17-May-15 21:39:53

700 for two nights.

Jellykat Sun 17-May-15 21:41:04

Wowee, it's bloody fabulous!!
Very temple like eh?

Corygal Sun 17-May-15 21:41:06

Who owns it and/or paid him to do it in the first place?

Jellykat Sun 17-May-15 21:43:05

£700 isn't bad, thought it would be a helluva lot more!

Cory, a holiday rental business i think..

LucyInTheSkyWithDonuts Sun 17-May-15 21:43:33

Ooohhh, that's not as much as I thought! Puts it in the realm of the possible, I just need to think of a suitable occasion to celebrate in the bosom of an Essex lady smile

Jellykat Sun 17-May-15 21:47:12

Grayson is really reminding me of Mary Portas grin

Jellykat Sun 17-May-15 22:00:03

The weird thing is, all of those pictures CAN be interpretated as personal to each one of us.. What a very clever man! and what a very honest man..

starting on ch4+1 now. love grayson Perry.

SirChenjin Sun 17-May-15 22:17:21

Love love love the house - quirky, touching, beautiful. I am now utterly in love with Grayson Perry and his wonderful imagination.

MrsFring Sun 17-May-15 22:23:12

How extraordinarily moving. Grayson makes me proud to be British, and proud to be a woman.

meglet Sun 17-May-15 22:36:44

love the builders getting attached to the project.

Jacana Sun 17-May-15 22:38:43

I was impatient to see this, I'd heard him talking about it on the radio. Isn't it just fabulous! Actually there was more symmetry to the building than I'd been expecting. I wonder who did the tapestry map - the local WI?

He's an extraordinary man with an extraordinay

Jellykat Sun 17-May-15 22:42:18

Good point Jacana, the tapestry was so intricate and beautiful. Would have been great if the local WI had been involved too smile

thelittlebooktroll Sun 17-May-15 22:44:58

Love Grayson Perry and loved watching this programme. Why is GP not on TV every night of the week ? He is so good for my soul.

Jellykat Sun 17-May-15 22:55:24

His Reith lectures from 2 years ago (radio 4) were very interesting, might still be available somewhere.. Agree, great to see his face (and his wonderful outfits) on telly for once.
