I loved ER! How are you watching it?

I wanted to watch while on maternity leave but only found the first series. I loved ER.

It took one episode for me, but that wasn't till about the 4th season, only saw the earlier ones a couple of years ago when the whole thing was repeated. I still remember the episode, Ewan McGregor played a gunman holding Carol and others hostage in a convenience store.

I was on maternity leave BOTH TIMES when Sky Atlantic ran it non stop. It's just wonderful.

I had 7 weeks off work after an operation during those reruns, it was great!

God I love er. I keep eyeing up the box set on amazon,at one point it was down to about £45, now it's £100. It's amazing who pops up in it as patients/family members as well.

(12 year old spoiler coming up)

My husband only has to say 'Mark Greene in Hawaii' for me to burst into tears. I actually can't watch that episode,it kills me.

The one with the child in the storm drain.

Actually, looking at Wikipedia that was season 2 episode 7, and I think I was well hooked by then.

Love's Labour Lost, and Motherhood from season 1 are two that stick in my mind.

I was hooked from the beginning! I was so happy to find the Sky Atlantic were playing re runs on my first maternity leave. I'm another one who checks the box set price regularly on Amazon as I'm desperate to have it in case I can't find it anywhere in the future. I've also decided not to watch that new 'Critical' as they dared to compare it to ER which sets it up to fall short to me! Obsessed much? Me? Grin

I loved it from the first episode but that was back in the day the only alternative was casualty!

ER was fabulous. I was pregnant with DS1 when Abby was preg with Joe. She made me POAS even though I was convinced I wasn't preg. This may obviously make me look rather mad Wink

I recently re watched the whole of ER on DVDs from eBay. It was still fantastic but I think the mark green/early Carter years are the best.

Loves labours Lost guest stars Josh Lyman out of the West Wing before he was Josh Lyman out of the West Wing IYSWIM.

I remember watching it when it was first on, we were all talking about it at work the next day. There was a big thing at the time about the camerawork making folk queasy!

I think it started at the same time as Friends - Dr Ross and Dr Carter were in a series 1 ep of Friends as I recall.

God I'm old. Sad

But more specifically when he saves the boy trapped by the pipe - drenching wet < swoon >

When I re watched it I was surprised how quickly Susan left after her first time in it

I loved Corday & Ramono

And I loved how they breathed new life into it after Carol & Doug with Abby & her mum , & then Sam & Goran Smile

I bloody love ER. My last words when they knocked me out for my emergency caesarean were "Dr Carter?" Blush

I still remember watching the first episode 20 years ago. Grin

If it doesn't hook you immediately perhaps it's not for you.
