I'm ready for Bethany to bugger off back to Italy now.

If she could take Les Dennis, Michelle, Tracey-Luv, Jazz-Hands, Chesney, Sinead, the chicken man and his entire family, and Rita I would be very grateful.

I think Lily has been sent to Italy to sort out Sarah and Bethany's affairs! Seriously, the absence of Lily is beyond a joke. there is absolutely no evidence around the house that a toddler lives there. Wonder if David will be fined for keeping Max off school.

Who is the random bloke that keeps coming to visit Sinead? He just seems to barge into her room whenever he wants and as far as I know they didn't know each other. Is he meant to be staff or another patient? Why does nobody tell him to get lost?

Report
AnneEyhtMeyer · 24/04/2015 22:48

I thought he was another patient. I don't want him to get lost. I want Sinead to leave with him.

Lily wasn't even at her granny's wedding, it is totally ridiculous.

Where was Audrey though?

She was unwell apparently, but probably was just bored sick of attending Gail's weddings.

What was the point in the Sinead storyline?

Agree bored bored with Sarah -Bethany, get her take that make up off for a start! She's going look ridiculous old in school uniform.

The wheelchair guy at the hospital has been sniffing around from the start, I'm guessing she will fall into his understanding arms! At least he talks unlike chesney.

I hope they manage her going home ok it's either done as, miraculous recovery no problems at all when bathroom is upstairs etc. or within 24h of them being home everyone is burdened with being a carer and if I'll person asks for anything they are being demanding!

I do love corries humour a out the graffiti can see Gail loving it if local artist has done it. You don't get these light hearted threads in Eastenders.

Did I miss a bit? Gail runs out of the ceremony upset. Next, Gail is all smiles and they are back on. Luckily the registrar and guests were just waiting patiently. This is a classic case of trying too hard to spice something up for no reason. Ditto the wedding cake crashing to the floor. Why does everything have to be a disaster? Agree with everyone else, just stick to humour. The tram and stairlift comments were the only bits that saved last night.

Report
SavoyCabbage · 25/04/2015 08:46

The 'are you going on the tram' line was hilarious!

Gail is in the boxroom as she keeps mentioning and les Dennis still was sleeping round his own flat occasionally. He must squash I to a single with Gail. No mention of where they might live in the long term of course!

Report
DocHollywood · 25/04/2015 09:10

If this was real life Gail would have moved into Les's long ago as the only way to get a bit of space. But obviously they'll both live in the house. I don't know why they don't convert the garage, do they have a car?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/04/2015 09:23

I missed the Gail coming round bit too.
Tram line was a classic

I enjoyed David doing an impression of Audrey too Grin.
I agree, no logic whatsoever in Gail rushing out, and back.

P.S. I love the new thread title Grin

Sally with the roller in her hair and the muriel graffiti reminded me of Hilda Ogden!

Thanks for new thread Anne

I'm getting fed up with Bethany making 'old' quips about anyone over 20. Is that just so we don't forget that she's supposed to be young?

eddiemairswife · 25/04/2015 12:23

Has Michael still got his flat, and what happened to his ice-cream van? Where does Andy live now?

Report
DuckChowMein · 25/04/2015 12:26

Good questions Eddie! I presume he stopped paying for his flat. Wasn't his ice cream van destroyed? And no idea where Gandy lives!

What do we think's going on with Jenny? Is it going to be some kind of munchausen's by proxy or something?

I think lily needs to go to a Dr, she sleeps 24 hours a day!

There is always one house that seems to have more bedrooms than buckingham palace! In EastEnders it was Pats house (now carols house?) Eileen seems to have a few extra bedrooms in corrie too

Report
Housemum · 25/04/2015 12:53

His flat was a tiny 1 room bedsit, so Gail wouldn't have moved in there (though being 1 room it should fit the whole Platt family easily!)

I'm wondering if Jenny lost a child, or perhaps she was a childminder and something happened where she missed the symptoms?

I wondered if Norris was going to scrub off the artwork, and just as he's started to wreck it someone points out it's a Banksy.

I also wondered why the registrar asked if they were Gail and Michael - surely she and her invisible colleague have just done the whole pre-wedding interview bit? ;) (Sorry, I did one summer temping as a registration officer so it bugs me when people rush in and instantly get married - they should have had the interview/preparing the certificates bit first, and there are always 2 officials - one to conduct the ceremony and one to record it in the official register).

We haven't seen much of Mary and Julie and Dev's children. I was wondering who stays overnight with the twins. This was prompted by the previous bedrooms comment. I reckon that the houses that side of the street have 3 bedrooms. I think I read somewhere that Eileen's front room serves as Sean's bedroom ( as Ken's did for Blanche). To go back to Dev's arrangements...... I reckon that Julie would sleep in Dev's bed, but it would be inappropriate for Mary to do so, so she would have the 3rd bedroom. Unless she has manoeuvred her camper-van up the alley into Dev's backyard. You can tell I've got time on my hands, spending my Saturday morning worrying about the sleeping arrangements of a bunch of characters in a TV soap!

On another soap altogether (but related to elastic rooms) Grin

In Eastenders:

There was in one house:

Charlie
Big Mo
Lynn and Gary
Kat
Zoe
For a while Little Mo ( with or without Trevor)

Then Stacey

When Belinda stayed I think they had a Girls Sleepover in the lounge, before Lynns wedding

I saw one of the bedrooms when Evil Trevor set fire to it ( when Tom the Fireman died) it was huge. So no box rooms there Hmm

Don't mention the ice cream van/Gandy/the weather... The shock could kill him Grin.
Sorry...it just is Gail's most often repeated sentiment right now.

It looks like they are going to drag this storyline even longer because next week's episodes seem to be veering off into other boring stories involving Jenny/Maria/Sophie/Sinead/the guy from the hospital in the wheelchair etc.

I think the actors who play Andy and Steph are great.
