Spice guys, what are your thoughts? Vast improvement on JM IMO grin

StillStayingClassySanDiego Sat 07-Feb-15 11:46:28

No! they're awful as presenters, I had to turn it off I was cringing! grin

Nice blokes and brilliant as chefs on the show but never again.

disclaimer: I turned off when the french chef was finishing off his dish so maybe they improved.

awaynboilyurheid Sat 07-Feb-15 12:23:51

No they did not improve ! gave us a good laugh though , god knows what the producers were shouting, the chef from Edinburgh was good but the older man kept shouting over everybody and when he hit the other chef in the back to make him speak we were in stitches here it was like a comedy, JM's job is safe.

WireCat Sat 07-Feb-15 14:37:16

I'm just watching it now, it's hilarious. I do like them, but they're not cut out for live presenting!

WireCat Sat 07-Feb-15 14:43:26

Deleted it from planner. It was too shouty and clunky.

CharleyFarleyy Sat 07-Feb-15 15:31:02

Anyone is an improvement on JM wink

StillStayingClassySanDiego Sat 07-Feb-15 16:13:07

Ah I like James, did you know he likes butter and is from Yorkshire? wink

CharleyFarleyy Sat 07-Feb-15 16:21:05

Really? I never knew... he should mention it more grin

Lunaballoon Sat 07-Feb-15 16:29:00

JM irritates the hell out of me, but these guys were even worse if that's possible! I also had to switch off, it was just too cringeworthy.

Behooven Sat 07-Feb-15 16:36:39

I like JM too. I think today's stramash just goes to show he does a good job.
I like these two as chefs but the show was honking (although highly amusing)

WireCat Sat 07-Feb-15 16:38:09

JM is ok. He's from Yorkshire. Just in case you didn't know.

My Saturday feels weird now I haven't had my Saturday kitchen fix.

WireCat Sat 07-Feb-15 16:38:45

Sorry StillSaying, I missed your post!

StillStayingClassySanDiego Sat 07-Feb-15 16:45:19

grin great minds and all that.

Lunaballoon Sat 07-Feb-15 16:48:35

Stramash - what a great word Behooven. Describes today's SK to a tee!

Behooven Sat 07-Feb-15 16:52:10

grin

CharleyFarleyy Sat 07-Feb-15 18:24:48

I Live in Barnsley and I still cant stand him!

iklboo Sat 07-Feb-15 18:30:17

It was like a comedy sketch today. Pretty funny. It's hard to basically as lib & small talk through the normal / awkward silence bits. I love Tony Singh. The other bloke was a bit bumbly & clueless. The gallery probably needed a stiff drink & a lie down after today grin

iklboo Sat 07-Feb-15 18:31:35

Ad lib, not as lib. Bloody phone.

TheHoundsBitch Sat 07-Feb-15 18:33:12

Ah. Gutted I missed it, I love Tony Singh smile

iklboo Sat 07-Feb-15 18:36:31

He was in his kilt & on top form. Should be on iplayer.

TheHoundsBitch Sun 08-Feb-15 10:13:01

I'll have a look smile

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard Mon 09-Feb-15 20:13:37

I really loved it. Such a change from the awful James Martin and much more informative about the hows and whys of what the cooks are doing as well.

Tony Singh's on an hour long cookery/travel programme tonight on BBC2 at 9pm. 'Tony Singh's India' part of the Cook Abroad series of six.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard Mon 09-Feb-15 21:03:09

Tony Singh on now BBC2.

Behooven Mon 09-Feb-15 22:14:07

Watched it, really nice guy! His accent and humour just cracks me up too (I'm also Scottish btw)

iklboo Mon 09-Feb-15 23:23:45

Caught the end of the Tony Singh programme - I'll watch it all on iplayer tomorrow.

I keep imagining Tony Singh & Will I Am on the same show. Very 'larger than life'!!
