Catfish TV Show anyone?

Just watched this for the first time, it's cringing but I can really see myself getting sucked in. Anyone else watch?

It's amazing.

Although nev and max are so smug they do handle some of the situations better than I would!

I love all their detective work ie. google.

I also love seeing people's houses.

It is addictive.

I've only seen 2. I'm going to order the movie from amazon so that I can watch Nev's story before I see any of the others.

Yes, I agree, the shows are much better than the movie. I just don't know why people agree to be filmed for the programme, when all it shows is that they've been lying.

Oh really? I really wanted to see what happened to Nev but it doesn't sound like it's worth watching. The only ones I have seen are the Jarrad the musician one and the one with the guy who turns out to be a girl but ended well.

No I liked the movie and think it's worth watching. It's much slower than the tv show but (without giving too much away) I found it sad.

I really liked the film. I have a massive crush on Nev and Max.

It amazes me that the victims seem to invest so much time and love (sometimes money too) into relationships with people theyv'e never met. It also never occur to them to be suspicious when the other person can't skype or can't meet up for some spurious reason, yet they still carry on with the "relationship". Its shocking how often the catfish turns out to be the opposite gender to the one they are pretending to be, and the reasons why they do it. Quote often pure malice. Its really interesting from a sociological point of view, and I can perv on Nev too! Great show!

I liked the movie. They didn't know they were making it in the beginning, it evolved from what was happening.

I've watched a few, the funniest one was the girl who thought she was dating the famous rapper - when they turned up at "his" house it ended up being a woman who had roped in her cousin to do the talking on the phone. I don't understand how they think the scenario is going to pan out. Why are there so many liars.

I was going to get it on amazon, it's about a fiver.

Yesterday I watched a sort of best of, where they retold stories that happened to people in the past. Played by actors and voiced by the person/people involved. Nev and the other guy were watching and commenting. Some if those were deeply disturbing.

It really is. I can kind of understand a girl using a fake profile pic if she has issues with her body image, just to make herself feel good, then getting sucked in. It's wrong but quite easy to believe. The ones I don't get are the people that aren't even the same sex as the people they are pretending to be, or the ones who pretend to be cancer sufferers etc.
