I know this is old, but I've recently started watching it as my guilty pleasure and I love it!!

Does anyone else watch it?

I love it! Love seeing kendra so carefree! Holly loves heff so much and Bridget just wants to be a centrefold. Heff seems a nightmare, bringing his own food to restaurants- mn wud have a fit!!

There's a book written by one of Hefner's exes that apparently dishes all the juicy Playboy secrets which I'd love to read. If I could remember what the book was called!

I used to watch this! It's so so bizarre. At no point does anyone say "wow....this is revolting, he's a pervert". Kendra wrote a book, unsure if that's the one mentioned above. Apparently the playmates rooms are very damp and dirty...

I remember seeing one where they went out for the day to a hotel spa and Holly was freaking out that they wouldn't be back for curfew. WTF? (I think their 'allowance' was docked if they were late)

I wonder why Heff married that Crystal woman who dumped him before the first planned wedding and did a kiss and tell, yet didn't seem to want to marry Holly?

I never understood why he didn't marry holly- such a strange character - remember how she fought to remodel the gym? Hugh is very set in his ways and very nostalgic- I wonder if holly pushed him too much.

Kendra question- Hugh gave her away i think but why not her dad? He met her out of the jungle so they must be a bit close.

He didn't speak to her for years and years. Kendra' saddest. She was brought up by her mum patti but they fall out from time to time.

Symphony I think it was because Holly wanted kids in the traditional family set up, and Hef knew he couldn't provide that for her.

i used to love girls of the playboy mansion. i always thought holly really loved heff for whatever reason. think she was quite successful in her own right whenshe left though, had her own spin off series and sure she had a vegas show too. she is also a mum now.

i loved kendras show too but they stopped showing it on uk tv. was dissapointed when read about hank and the cheating.

I love Holly because I really feel like she loved Hef... She just wanted to get married and have babies which is pretty normal... I really felt for her when she left and then weeks later Hef announced his engagement to Crystal!

Holly and Heff falling out really began to show in the last series, when they were still supposed to be together (I think she was with that sleazy magician guy by then). There was one episode on Heff's birthday where they all had body parts moulded out of chocolate. Holly could not have been more frosty towards him.

Newshoes I didn't know Kendra wrote a book! But now I do I think I may have a google and see if it's worth a read!

I think the book was written by an ex girlfriend of his in the 80's? But I could be wrong! All I remember about it was that the author mentioned that all the girlfriends had 10pm curfews and a really strict set of rules

I'm so going to seek that book out! Lol! Yep kendra "wrote" a book, think she used a ghost writer.
It was creepy that hef gave kendra away! Her husband seems to love hef. All so weird. Likely scripted I guess!

I realise that I know far too much about this, but when Kendra first left she bad mouthed Hef and had to go back and apologise because the Playboy company have some sort of film rights with whoever makes these programs. They wouldn't have made 'Kendra' if she hadn't said sorry.

This is the same reason that Holly hasn't really said anything about Hef. The show about her in LV was made in conjunction with Playboy, and Holly turns up in later mansion shows when the twins go to LV. They were both still very much under contract.

I loved this too much.
holly and heff were having IVF in the last season and that was one of the reason why they split as she couldnt cope with not having children

I always thought it was suspicious the way holly, Bridget and Kendra pretty much left at the same time.

I guess you can only do a job like that for so long. It must be tiring for hef to keep up the playboy image at his age, especially when all of the parties etc are hosted at the Manaion. Plus for the girls, although the lifestyle looks glamorous, they are essentially paid employees of hef and have to fall into his routine, not build a life together like normal couples do.

I really wanted hef to marry his assistant, Mary. She's loyally worked with him since the 60s or something and knows him so well.

I watched all the series if this when it was on several years ago and have been re-watching the repeats (hooray for mat leave!)

Ive got that book (bunny tales) it is good for a warts and all look at the mansion. You do have to take what she's saying with a massive pinch of salt (I think she has a chip on her shoulder that she left and the girlfriends left became famous with the TV show!) but it's a good trashy read.

Re holly I don't know if she really did love Hef she certainly seems to care for him but she seems quite calculated and cold as though she'd set her sights on being the perfect girl for him and goddammit she was going to achieve it! I think that's one if the reasons he likes kendra because she was just herself around him!

Possibly over invested in this show!

One of the things that Kendra said before she retracted it was that she used to have to sneak off for sex with other people as she couldn't go without. She said she was amazed that Bridget didn't go elsewhere, the implication being that sex with Hef with virtually non-existent and over in seconds.

I think it ended with the 3 of them because Kendra had already met Hank and said she was leaving and there were lots of rumours about Holly and the sleazy magician whose name escapes me. IIRC they dragged it out for the last series, the one where Holly 'found' the twins, but it's obvious that the girls weren't even at the mansion a lot of the time. Lots of shots of them travelling and working away from the house. I was way too over-invested but I couldn't care less about any of the subsequent girls.
