Hello everyone. Welcome to Volume III.

The only thing that puts me off including Oliver Tobias is the fact that I always associate him with The Stud and Joan Collins! Sorry, no offence CJwoof I think its Joan Collins that's the off-putting bit. I can see that I would probably be overruled on this one. Looked at some old pics of him and can see the resemblance to the Musketeer chap!

Evening all, my other half is watching american football, so i'm amusing myself catching up on the ff. I'm christening this thread with a link to some FF, this is is a two-parter, but i like it so i thought i'd share. I'm sure many will have read, but i like how Molly takes stock of her emotions towards CJ in chapter 2.

I think an email, text, letter non meet up comms between MD/CJ as suggested by TG is a go-er. Timeline it would sit after bath and before funeral. But for me we would also have after hospital & before bath as a chapter 1.... unfortunately i'm not a creative writer, otherwise i'd give it a shot....any takers?

Oh am excited to read that BBC 1 is filming a new 6 part version of War and Peace with James Norton from Grantchester. I loved the Audrey Hepburn film version (which had Vittorio Gassman in, cherin). Pity BA isn't in it. Can def see him as a dashing yet ultimately tragic Russian nobleman.

Really?? I love war and peace! (I haven't managed to re-read it for at least 12 years, though. The first time I gulped it down over a Xmas holiday, all in a stream, I was 16, and I probably understood only 30% of it...but it was enough!!)

Wrestling:
I am happy just to stay on the edge of the ring and watch. I am not that into sweaty hulks. But obvioudly I can take them after you've cleaned them up!! :-)

I watched 3 episodes of bluestone. (3 loads of washing, 3 episodes for ironing. smooth). Funny! Not quite OG, and most definitely not CJ, but I'll watch it all. It's getting better, it seems...

Ooh, lots to look at ... just finished watching Miranda ... very lovely! Did we already have Tom Ellis in the fireside wrestling?! Even a bit of lip biting going on. Now going to have to watch OG just to compare CJs lip biting technique (sounds like a good excuse to me!!). Night all!

Stroppy kids here too. They have already received The Talk (aka one of these bollockings that include mention of Swiss boarding school with nasty miss Rottelmeier. Works every time. It's all in the name. They even fear the Wienerschnitzel, without having a clue what it is ;-)

Morning. I didn't manage to catch any of the R4 dramatisation despite it being 10 hours long! In a way, radio could be better as you're able to visualise your own ideas of the characters (ie CJ as Andrei). Good job I'm not adapting it as of course as well as casting CJ, I'd be tempted to rewrite the ending and SPOILER have Andrei survive and marry Natasha. Do you think I'd get away with a cockney sounding Russian cos I'd like Molly to be Natasha?!

I haven't got stroppy kids yet, but soon to be as I'm about to wake them up. Very tempted not to so I can remain in peace, but I need to acclimatise them for Monday morning!

I have just caught up on last night and the prospect of the man from Grantchester in War and Peace sounds thrilling. He is the one that took off his top whilst chopping wood?

Haha! Yes, strangely that was the only episode I managed to watch - the top off wood chopping! However, he doesn't have the same effect on me as CJ (Rupert, the raisin, Nutini, Italian actor et al).

Morning all and happy new thread! Just spent an hour tidying up and getting a bag ready for the charity shop later. You really have to be in the right frame of mind to do a clear out, don't you? I might even get round to cleaning the windows later... maybe!

Just going back to TG's Q&A session again. I'm probably being naive and I know he was very non-committal about a second series (as you would expect) but do you think he would have agreed to an interview if he had no intention of doing further episodes? As I say, I'm maybe naive and clutching at straws! Agree with you all though that without CJ in the picture, it just wouldn't be the same.

The Facebook lot (not the Anonymous group, the open one) have a posting today "...come and join our closed Facebook group. We have an interview with TG the writer and are well on the way with our campaign for a second series". Hmm, there was nothing much in that interview as I could see to confirm that. What do you all think?

I saw that too, ilove ... Had a little smile to myself! I didn't think there was anything indicating a second series either, other than TG said he needed to talk to the BBC and that he hadn't written anything yet. Ain't always makes me smile that its called OG anonymous .... When they aren't! Sorry, I joined for a bit but got a bit fed up of the constant going on about a second series. Are they still doing the twittering everyone very week? I much prefer this ... I mean naked fireside wresting ... Seems to me we talk about much more wonderful stuff than just getting another series!!!! I fact we don't even really talk about getting another series!! Righ off to send DH and kds to do the shopping so I can open my DVD and have an hour of CJ uninterrupted get on with the ironing

Grantchester, does look "alright" in non-vicar mode, still not CJ, but hey ho. When DH and I were watching Lord of the Rings, I was referring Aragorn as "The Raisin". I then had to explain which just further confirmed my madness! Although he did say that The Historynof Violence is one of his fav films staring the raisin. I can even say I am learning more about my DH through this OG thread!

Re. 2nd series. I am sure that they decide almost straight away if they are doing another series, aka, The Missing, Broadchurch etc. I am sure somewhere I read that the poll a closed group for feedback before they air first series.

Morning all! Been doing a bit of writing this morning. Should have been ironing but never mind! Hoping to have next chapter done by tonight / tomorrow. Not over the moon with it, but it's taking a bit of shape. Has anybody been reading the ff "another time another place" on the ff site? I really like it, so beautifully written.

Re second series, didn't they wait around six months after the original OG pilot before deciding to commission the series? Suppose this may be different as pilots are riskier therefore takes longer to decide if they are going to follow them up. I'm fairly sure there will be a series 2 - whether BA is there is a different matter. Suppose it will depend how well his Reign part goes, and whether it takes off in the USA for him.

I have a little laugh to myself about the 'anon' bit as they all retweet things so clearly not anonymous!

They don't like it if you tweet that you don't mind if there is not another series. And its not going to filmed anytime soon - BA still has Reign to finish, LT would need 6 mths (approx) off Eastenders and they would have their storylines plannng probably in place for the next 6-12 mths anyway. So if there is a 2nd series, time will have passed by what a year at min. Molly was only a medic assigned to 2 Section so she could still be with them- if their original medic never went back to them. But
