I was supposed to have a date tonight but it fell through so I'm all dressed up and on my own watching the Hootenanny! Don't really mind but would be nice to have some company! Joss Stone was just on, great voice and great dress! Come join me and tell me how your NYE is going...? smile

Change channel - watch Brian May! Happy New Year (already 30 mins old in France).

Some golden oldies on now!

Dp is. I absolutely hate him (JH not dp). Some blonde was just shouting and screaming - was it Joss Stone? I don't like her either. And now it's just boring old men.

She did! I loved her first 2 albums, then she went a bit modern R&B which didn't really work. Love her when she sings soulful classics.

It's pre-recorded you know.
<ruins NYE>

I used to love Boz Scaggs. Fecking hate Paloma Faith. Nice dress mind.

We've ditched it for Queen this year, never felt the same about it since finding out it was filmed weeks ago.

It's not live?!

Ah feck it, I'd have gone to bed myself if I'd known that. I feel cheated.

Paloma's been a bit shouty for my liking. Love Ed Sheeran and Paulo Nutini though.

Happy new year and all that.

Is Paloma drunk? It comes across a bit that way <takes one to know one> grin

I got an email from BBC tickets for the Hootenanny which was being recorded on the 10th December or something. Ruined it for my mate too, she was gutted it wasn't actually live.....

BaffledSomeMore Thu 01-Jan-15 00:25:46

It's recorded in November I think but it's still entertaining.
Paloma Faith is dreadful.

I'm sure this was just the same in the 70's when I was a teenager. JH exactly the same, or was there someone else just like him back then. Anyway I remember the bagpipes from watching with my DP's.
Between then and now I did have some more interesting NYE's, honest!
Just had a NYE hug with dd so everything's good fsmile

Worth it just for Wilko.

SwedishEdith Thu 01-Jan-15 00:33:16

Oh shit, Ellie Goulding.

hugoagogo Thu 01-Jan-15 00:34:53

The 70's my arse-jools had an actual pop career then dontcha know wink

Dreadful, dreadful voice.

BaffledSomeMore Thu 01-Jan-15 00:35:41

Juggling Jools certainly wasn't going in the 70s! It was probably Andy thingy of Scotland.

AWholeLottaNosy Thu 01-Jan-15 00:38:57

I think Ed Sheeran Sing is the Song of the Year!!!

TiggyD Thu 01-Jan-15 00:43:51

It used to be live but they had trouble getting the quality of guests they wanted.

Hoping Hayseed Dixie play soon.
