I've filled in with all sorts if NC but have been pining for our good old UK version. I'm so excited it's starting next Wednesday BBC1 9pm

Thank goodness. TV has been so very crap recently and I need a bit of mindless entertainment.

Oh brill thanks for that, I love it, I tried to keep up with the thread on the last one but it moved so fast, must get my typing fingers flexed for next week grin

I loved the girl who won last year, she was great and real down to earth

Excellent! Line of Duty final episode this Wednesday at 9pm on BBC2 - so this fits in nicely.

Davros Tue 18-Mar-14 23:48:27

And Rev and WC1 both very soon. I think MC is going to be three nights, one after the other. Big article in the new RT but haven't read it yet.

Looking forward to this. Have been watching 2012 (I think) Australian version on Really channel which is nearly at an end. It's a completely different format but I've enjoyed it.

I definitely think they should have 3 judges on the UK one - if only to counteract the (forgotten name) grocer's habit of voting through the attractive women

Greg Wallace, Silver. About as well qualified to judge Masterchef as I am to judge the downhill slalom at the Olympics, ie not at all.

<<air punch>>

I understand the attraction if the Oz and SA formats but I've got bored with them and the cooking is pretty shite. Can't wait for our good old, plain and far less fancy one to start. Less of the soap opera.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves That's him, thank you and quite agree about him not being qualified.

Ellenora5 Wed 26-Mar-14 19:23:30

Are we all set people, I'm going to have a beer while I'm watching grin and completely ignore Gregg if I can

Ellenora5 Wed 26-Mar-14 19:24:23

Oops didn't mean to give Greg two gs there, makes him more important than he is smile

DuffyMoon Wed 26-Mar-14 19:57:34

I hope it is better than last year...I gave up watching...more beginners rounds where they sauté liver and truffles in ribena. I like a good mumsnet pisstake-along discussion

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves Wed 26-Mar-14 20:21:12

Tonight's the night! Calloo callay, etc etc.

Has everybody seen this *trifling* gem from the opening round a couple of years ago?

Davros Wed 26-Mar-14 20:32:54

Looking forward to it so much. Will have to watch it recorded once DD has gone to bed so sadly can't join live thread

OhYouBadBadKitten Wed 26-Mar-14 20:58:40

I wll be interrupted by dd rudely coming home part way through.

OhYouBadBadKitten Wed 26-Mar-14 21:00:39

I hope there's some really terrible stuff grin

cremolafoam Wed 26-Mar-14 21:00:52
