Not necessarily of the Nordic variety although that would be great but is there anything like Broadchurch or Luther on the horizon? Even something hammy like Whitechapel or Ripper Street? Pregnant and bored of TV at the moment!

True Detective.
Slow moving, drawn out, stunning cinematography, as much about the characters as the crime, and two stunning performances in the leads.

Line of Duty on BBC2, you should be able to catch up on I Player.

Will check them out - thanks!

Shetland starts again next week. It was on last year on BBC 1 I quite enjoyed that.

Criminal Minds if you've got Sky on Demand. Or Bones. Or The Blacklist. Or Castle(cheesy in parts)

LeslieKnope Tue 04-Mar-14 18:00:11

Criminal Minds is gruesome and really watchable. The earlier seasons anyway.

Spiral is an absolutely fantastic French police drama. I think it's on BT Vision and some other On Demand places. Would thoroughly recommend.

The Following is really fantastic.

Did you watch "the bridge". It was brilliant, top quality

Fiveleaves Tue 04-Mar-14 20:12:27

Loved The Bridge. After something of that calibre.

Will look at suggestions. I remember Shetland. That was good.

Thanks! Line of Duty on now!

You've seen The Wire? Would second Spiral too.

Mandy2003 Tue 04-Mar-14 20:15:59

Whitechapel is on ITV3 at 10.00 tonight grin

HermioneWeasley Tue 04-Mar-14 20:22:07

five. There is nothing else of that calibre! <sobs>

VerucaInTheNutRoom Tue 04-Mar-14 20:23:59

Good call GoingtoBedforshire! The Wire and Spiral both excellent.

Sandancer Tue 04-Mar-14 20:29:44

I like Vera. ITV 3 repeat some great crime dramas like Prime Suspect but late at night so I set sky+ .

GoingToBedfordshire Tue 04-Mar-14 20:31:12

Just watched the final episode of Series 5 of the Wire at the weekend. Have got that post box set melancholy. Keeping an eye on this thread, although the shelf is already groaning with lots of unwatched stuff.

GoingToBedfordshire Tue 04-Mar-14 20:31:52

Does Cracker ever get repeated? Loved that, along with Prime Suspect.

Sandancer Tue 04-Mar-14 20:39:06

Yes I've seen Cracker on ITV 3 late at night.

GoingToBedfordshire Tue 04-Mar-14 20:58:55

Thanks Sandancer, will investigate.

Another vote for Vera. She is the most divinely awesome character.
