Prob been done before as Friends is like a guzzillion years old now but the other day I saw the one where Estelle dies.

AFAIK Phoebe never met or spoke to Estelle so how did she know how she sounded? also, Joeys phone would have had Phoebes name on the caller ID.

Yes its a Saturday night and theres nothing on tv!

loadsa moments. anyone get bugbeared or just think 'its only a programme' and just enjoy it?
its a terrible habit of mine to nitpick!

Wasn't caller ID all new and fancy shmancy in the 90s?

I always hate the bit where they say Pheobe has never been in a serious relationship...

Despite the fact that she was with that cop for a long time and about to move in with him..

Did anyone else notice that Monica's apartment starts life as number 4 and ends up as number 19?

Same with Joey's. It was 5 then 20.

I saw that one today! At the end of the phone call Joey looks at the caller ID and it says out of area. He says 'I'll say!' - so I guess the joke that he thinks she's calling from beyond the grave is more important than the technology!

I also remember there was a radiator outside Joey and Chandlers that then disappeared, and Ross apartment (the one that belonged to ugly naked guy) the corridors kept changing.

The baths in both bathrooms changes position throughout the series, as I recall.

They lost all attempts at realism for me when a) Phoebe had a vaginal birth of triplets (really? In the US?) and b) all of the Friends were at the hospital when Ben was born.

Also, a glaringly obvious error - watch the one where Joey is Al Pacino's butt double. Look at his shadow in the shower scene, and he's wearing the baggiest boxers ever. Obviously they weren't actually going to film him naked, but he could at least have been wearing tight undies!

Ds was born in the US - some women had groups of people around while they were giving birth.

Yes, Grockle - but were they their ex-husband's random friends?!

A hard (love the name!) I remember that.

what about when (not pedantic but funny) Chandler moved into Monicas and Joey jumps out of the box with a massive erm......you know...!!in the trouser area!

and can someone really be ordained on the internet?

What about Phoebe getting a BFP half an hour after the IVF procedure?

Monica losing all that weight and revealing her new, toned body with no stretch marks or excess skin at the next thanksgiving.

I saw the Estelle one the other day and thought the same thing OP. The others are only noticeable when you've watched the repeats for the past 10 years. It was a comedy series, not accurate portrayal of real life!!

I do love spotting the continuity errors though. Like in the ep where Rachel finds out about Paulo making a pass at Phoebe, she's in the kitchen with a piece of kitchen roll pulled our from the roller thing on the wall. One minute the kitchen roll is really long, next it's not, next it is again.

Off to persuade the DCs that it's my turn to watch the telly now!

oh seething at the Monicas weight loss thing too!

and the Vegas one where rachels pen face is supposed to be permanent ink yet next episode shes ink free!

The fact that Phoebe's mum and dad (Frank and Phoebe? Can't even recall if they were actually biological parents or not) appeared for like one or two episodes each and then vanished. Same with Frank Jr and Alice.

Why did none of these people attend her wedding?! It always infuriates me - clearly on some level, she wanted it to be a bit of a family do as she mentioned her stepfather not being able to give her away!

And Emma, and Ben who seemed to be palmed off on childminders or parents or in Ben's case, Carol and Susan, 99% of the time. Always annoys me.

Pretty much the whole Emma story line grates with me, especially when Ross and Rachel refer to her as "the baby ". Not a continuity type error as such, but thought I'd share that anyway! Grin

Rachel the inept waitress turns into a hot shot fashion world mogul. Really??

Ross also claims to have been a virgin before he met Carol, yet in later episodes they say he's slept with others including the librarian who was a 'gentle and tender lover'.. Not so much of a virgin when he got married then.

Report
Innogen · 23/02/2014 18:00

He didn't sleep with Anita! They just snogged a bit in the library.

When he was dating Rachel, he'd only slept with Carol and her.

Then the break happened.

I think the reason nobody attended Phoebes wedding was because of the snow storm. That has always annoyed me though as Mikes parents managed to make it.

Ross's has two different birthdays.

Ahh that may be true , though like you say everyone else was there - even the friend with the steel drums.. They didn't even appear at the rehearsal dinner or anything.

Also how did Phoebe's mum find out she sang/ hung out at central perk? She just appears randomly at the end of Phoebe's 'set list'. Given the anger shown by Phoebe towards her previously it seems unlikely that she'd have told her.

Though I suppose they might have spoken before Phoebe took them to e beach house - but again, it seems unlikely that from that she'd know to find her at the coffee house.. Maybe she didn't intend to find her there, maybe it was a coincidence.

And cousin Cassie! If it was important enough for her to attend Monica's wedding why not Ross' to Carol? I'm sure Ross claimed he hadn't seen her since they were teenagers (1983 - when return of the Jedi came out, as that's what she said he was doing when she last saw him, queuing for it) .. way overthinking this

The one that has me shouting at the tv every bloody time (and showing my nerdy side) is the one with Ross and Chandler's college friend 'Gandalf' the party wizard. They both refer to him (Ross twice) as 'Gandolf'. The only one who actually gets it right is Joey - who has never even read Lord of the smegging Rings.

Drives me insane.

the whole pointless 'Marcel' storyline.

speaking of which. where Rachel and Mon have a fight over Jean Claude Vandam and then theres the next night when Mon goes out with him,and the next night theyre sill fighting and wearing the same clothes.
