Vera leaving the cobbles really made me blubbing. I'm not sure if Hayley's departure will make me feel the same?

I do wonder how people that are suffering with terminal illness cope with this in soaps. Aren't soaps supposed to be an escape? Very sad.

Last time I watched Corrie Curly was in it.

I'm going to try and watch it but have a feeling it might get a bit overwhelming. The acting so far has been amazing.

I have to watch this but know it is going to bring up a lot of feelings as my kids just lost their dad to cancer.

My tissues are well and truly ready. I have watched every episode so can't miss this one and need a good cry anyway.

It's very close to what a friends sister is going through at the moment. The youngest is only 12. Apparently she can't stop watching it Sad

That is how my boys are, they want to watch it although I think it will be upsetting. They are around the same age as your friends sister and their dad passed 5 weeks ago.

Except for the suicide part everything else is really similar.. the timeline as well.

It must be very close to home for a lot of people. Sad

Lighthouse that was meant to say the same age as your friends sister's child.

Yep, hits close to home for loads I am sure :(

I don't know if it's true but someone said it in all the soaps at the moment.

I thought she was meant to do her big goodbye scene on NYE?

Have I got confused? Maybe I read "in the new year" somewhere.

I will be watching Corrie tonight for the first time in over 10 years with my hankies at the ready...

Yes Carol and Hayley. I think Carol's storyline isn't terminal though. I don't even properly follow the soaps, will watch Corrie later.

The bit that set me off was when Fizz said she'd have to go with the children and the sudden realisation on Hayley's face that that was the very last time she'd see them Sad

Great acting by Julie Heckmondwycke(sp?)

I'll be very angry if there's some prolonged courtcase involving Roy and Hayley's death.
