viagrafalls Mon 06-Jan-14 21:04:47

Looks like its not going to be doing anyone on benefits any favours so far unfortunately.

theywillgrowup Mon 06-Jan-14 21:06:03

viagrafalls Mon 06-Jan-14 21:07:09

theywillgrowup Mon 06-Jan-14 21:16:02

Here we go again- let's portray everyone on benefits as scum of society.

White dee seems like a nice woman.
Feel sorry for fungi - addiction is such an illness.

Theknacktoflying Mon 06-Jan-14 21:17:14

Such an awful, divisive programme - it isn't going to add anything positive to the argument.

JazzAnnNonMouse Mon 06-Jan-14 21:19:05

Brilliant shop lifting tip there... shock

KenDoddsDadsDog Mon 06-Jan-14 21:19:54

I feel sorry for Fungi .

IndigoCat Mon 06-Jan-14 21:21:20

Tin foil, I never knew!

sonlypuppyfat Mon 06-Jan-14 21:21:31

They are a bunch of potty mouths.

viagrafalls Mon 06-Jan-14 21:21:34

I just think it could have been done differently - I mean what about the honest people that genuinely are deserving/need their benefits.

And how are they going to get away with actual thieving on tv???

Tinkertaylor1 Mon 06-Jan-14 21:22:28

Another attempt of the media trying to create a two tier system. Clearly these people have been failed by every support system we have.

Not all people on benefits are like this. Apparently they tricked the residents to participate in a ' community spirit' show.

BopToTheTop Mon 06-Jan-14 21:23:16

Pretty much everybody that has been shown before offers nothing to society, so why should they be 'entitled' to anything

viagrafalls Mon 06-Jan-14 21:23:42

I like Dee. smile

JazzAnnNonMouse Mon 06-Jan-14 21:24:22

So much rubbish on the street... Aren't the council supposed to clean up?

theywillgrowup Mon 06-Jan-14 21:24:28

there money has been stopped because they have failed to attend appointments

im no fan of the goverment but to say "our moneys been stopped" without mentioning the peoples refusal to attend,so not quite as it seems

KenDoddsDadsDog Mon 06-Jan-14 21:24:42

ISeeYouShiverWithAntici Mon 06-Jan-14 21:25:48

another one?

saints and scroungers, 1940 benefits, about 2 or 3 others I can't remember the title of but saw advertised.

It feels like propaganda. Considering these are the people being hammered atm. Start by portraying all people in a certain situation as being 'undeserving' in some way. remove any dregs of so called 'decent people's' understanding/care before you begin your attack upon them.

Now I know the press in this country does not exist to spout government propaganda / to manipulate popular opinion in favour of government policy - so why does it feel like that's exactly what's happening?

sonlypuppyfat Mon 06-Jan-14 21:25:59

When she said we've not been paid? I thought you only got paid if you earned it.

Loveleopardprint Mon 06-Jan-14 21:27:47

Finding it quite shocking. Aren't they worried about the consequences of the filming. Is it exaggerated for tv??

viagrafalls Mon 06-Jan-14 21:28:39

Iseeyoushiver That's excactly what it feels like, propaganda! I can just imagine those tory scrotes Cameron and Osbourne, nodding their heads and high fiving at each other.

JazzAnnNonMouse Mon 06-Jan-14 21:28:53

It is propaganda.
