I started watching this about 15 minutes ago so I may have missed something, but I've got the gist that the Sheridan Smith character works as a gym instructor - my question is then why does she where a office/business clothes on her way back home on the train?

This is dire.

Because she wouldn't look half as hot in a pair of tracky bottoms, of course!

I was thinking the exact same thing myself...they'll be debating this on the feminism boards as we watch!

Its all about waiting for the inevitable, would be better if there was a twist, maybe he thinks she could be his daughter or somthing.

No chemistry between main characters. Boring. Disappointing was looking forward to it. Bit too close to the mark for me tbh.

I have just turned over. Really not going it for me, and the Sheridan Smith gym instructor/ office clothes dichotomy.

It's all very mnetty.
Please advise, my dh has started going to the gym, which is great. But he is getting more and more distant, coming home later and later. Is this what I think it is?

Sorry wear not where....

Agree - this is dire.

The fact that she is wearing office clothes and heels etc is actually really irritating me. Like who the hell would put on a smart business outfit with heels, do their hair and make up for the journey back home after a day working in a gym ffs!

I'm really enjoying it! Blush I nearly switched off because I thought they said Neil Morrissey.

As someone's said, she's the manager of the gym, dancer.

Alison whatsit in the Radio Times said this was bland crap.

Bletchley Circle rubbish too, I'm just watching for the hair and costumes. And Rachael Stirlings voice.
