Does anyone know when i'ts coming back? I loved in and am hoping to see it on the winter schedules.

I thought it was tripe but I did see a trailer for the new series earlier today with the bloke from the BT ads as the new bumbling police bod. Don't recall what night it said though.

14th January according to BBC.

I do like it but sure how it's going to work with the new guy in it. Haven't seen the trailer yet.

I liked it specifically for the Ben Miller character. Will be interesting to see if it's as good.

It's back in a fortnight on the 14th.

It us tripe but we loved it. The new bloke is that wacky Kris someone-or-other. I don't dislike him but he's not a patch on Ben Miller, our main reason for watching originally.

Kris Marshall?

Won't be watching that, then!

LadyBeagleEyes Sun 05-Jan-14 17:32:56

Aw Ben Miller has left, I was hoping for romance.
I just love it on a winter night, it's light and fluffy and I can just sink into the beautiful Caribbean with all those soft lilting accents.

LottieJenkins Sun 05-Jan-14 18:02:01

I think Ben Miller is in the first couple of episodes! smile

LadyBeagleEyes Sun 05-Jan-14 18:34:57

Hi Lottie, nice to see you back.

Piscivorus Sun 05-Jan-14 18:38:06

I saw some of these but found the lead woman (was she called Camille?) so wooden it was hard to watch.

LottieJenkins Sun 05-Jan-14 18:39:23

Hi LadyBeagleEyes smile

LadyBeagleEyes Sun 05-Jan-14 18:42:11

But Camille was in love with him and he was falling for her. I hope he doesn't dump her sad

SauvignonBlanche Sun 05-Jan-14 18:45:47

I want Ben Miller back!

fuzzywuzzy Sun 05-Jan-14 20:26:02

Me too, want to go Pickett his show in the west end?

PrimroseLodge Mon 06-Jan-14 00:10:33

I don't understand why British police officers are being sent to a French speaking Caribbean island.

MrsReiver Mon 06-Jan-14 09:25:02

In the trailer, it looks like Richard is bumped off :’(

Davros Wed 15-Jan-14 22:27:03

Just watching this as had recorded it. Utterly shocked by the reason for DI Richard Poole "leaving"!

invicta Thu 16-Jan-14 13:44:15

Loved the new programme.

NewChoos Thu 16-Jan-14 17:43:22

I thought it was very good, Ben Miller was a hard act to follow but I think he did a reasonable job.

flatmum Thu 16-Jan-14 17:47:54

It has git so ludicrous now I can't suspend my disbelief enough anymore to watch it. It is a nice light watch but:
WHY was he bumped off exactly the same as his predecessor was
WHY has the knew guy done exactly what he did - move into the dead mans house and upset everyone
HOW was the new guy standing by ready to fly out to the Caribbean to investigate his death (exactly how Ben miller did) complete with almost rented out house
WHERE is this stream I numbing English policemen coming from
WHY does the DCI of a French Caribbean Island have to be from England! Surely they would have just promoted mate boy sergeant or Camille.

Too silly now

NewChoos Thu 16-Jan-14 17:50:57

Yes but it's such good light tv!

Pixel Thu 16-Jan-14 19:42:02

Didn't the commissioner (or whatever he is) explain that he'd got someone else over from England to investigate because he understood that Richard's colleagues/friends would be upset and find it hard to think straight? They seemed to agree when he mentioned it.

Blondeshavemorefun Thu 16-Jan-14 21:42:27

I enjoyed this but never seen before

Did seem a tad ott why he got murdered tho

But it's easy watching smile

Blondeshavemorefun Sun 26-Jan-14 23:43:28

Anyone still watching. Just seen episode 2 smile

Clawdy Mon 27-Jan-14 12:52:01

Still enjoying it,just a bit of fun! Miss Ben Miller but love Camille, Fidel and Duane. It's like a Caribbean Doc Martin!
