Saga's search of Ana-Dea's room was unauthorised - wonder if she reported herself?grin

HanSolo Sat 08-Feb-14 22:06:11

grin HRH- I was going off Martin's pronunciation of 'Saga'!

SoulJacker Sat 08-Feb-14 19:19:05

how it regularly gets chosen as the happiest capital to live in.

The Danish OH says Denmark regularly comes out as happiest place to live as they have low expectations grin

HRHQueenMe Sat 08-Feb-14 19:03:36

hansolo perfectly pronounced! Well done!

2016 is bad enough, don't think I can wait til 3016

Hope Salamander is ok. I am still learning Danish like a nerd! [soul] hej, jag hedder liz.

I am more depressed than I should be that my saturday night doesn't contain Saga sad

The next series isn't out until 3016!!!!! MN campaign anyone?

mizu Sat 08-Feb-14 18:06:23

Would love to go too, last Saturday's Guardian had an article about Copenhagen and how it regularly gets chosen as the happiest capital to live in.

Also did anyone else find it weird watching Saga on that BBC interview as she looked so different, all smiley and happy. Don't think she smiled once on The Bridge grin

Omg is the eurovision there thus year? I should book b4that, or prices will go up as everybody else has the same great idea.

LizLemonOnskerAtGaTilKobenhavn Fri 07-Feb-14 19:15:44

Sarah lund looks like me! grin god love her. Arent danish pepple supposed to be gorgeous?
Only an hour tops today looking at flight schedules. Ibsen hotel looks nice. Would love to do that tour. I have not seen the killing tho.

HanSolo Fri 07-Feb-14 18:22:28

Would that sound like "LaygerKaygerHoosit"?

HRHQueenMe Fri 07-Feb-14 10:24:17

Official tour of copenhagen in the footsteps of The killing Borgen and the bridge

You know you want to go! Copenhagen is lovely bustling beautiful and busy, food is amazing, lots of fish for the half veggies but not at all hard to eat fully vegetarian, lots of scandinavians are vegetarian and its not frowned upon.

You must visit Lagekagehuset for your fix of danish pastries....

CurrerBell Fri 07-Feb-14 09:46:29

I love Borgen too. I have just read that Pilou Asbæk who plays Kasper is going to co-host Eurovision this year...!

I've been looking at flights to Copenhagen too (not for Eurovision!)... Only problem is we are all veggie and I'm not sure we'd find much to eat there? Would love to visit though.

I haven't booked it yet! There is a really good site, and it has 20 lessons with vocab, grammar, phrases, conversation and then three tests at the end. You have to press play to hear it, then you repeat it. it's like drugs though the first two lessons are free, the next 18 are about 300 euro.

HanSolo Thu 06-Feb-14 22:19:19

Urgh <shudder> I really did not like Rasmus!

shippenhaguen- v envious! would love to do same trip...

mrsHoolie re Borgen- I actually like Borgen the best of all the scandi dramas... because there's no murdering in it! It is fantastic! smile Such excellent acting (well- I have been impressed y Borgen, Forbrydelsen, Bridge- all acting has been superb tbh)

DonkeysDontRideBicycles Thu 06-Feb-14 21:57:14

Maybe Rasmus will get a surprise promotion by series 3 and take over the dept (and the grandad cardigans).

But he's not lovable. He's snarky and unprofessional.

Internal enquiries will find that if he'd taken a team to confront Female Ecoterrorists, they would have been arrested and not killed off.

He's so busted down to Traffic.

LizLemonlizOnskerAtGaTilKobenh Thu 06-Feb-14 19:35:16

I'd say the writers have Rasmus tucked up their sleeve so to speak. They could turn him in to a double-crossing lynch pin of a terrorist eco cell, or he could be the hapless but lovable collateral damage at the end of series 3.

HermioneWeasley Thu 06-Feb-14 19:28:50

MrsJavier - I agree, I cannot believe that Rasmus will amount to anything. In fact, he has ruined the name for me.

shippenhaguen Thu 06-Feb-14 19:26:28

Not only is the thread sstill going but my boss would be delighted to know that I spent half the day researching a trip to copehhagen (with a day trip to malmo). Hotel & flights (from dublin) about 830 for a week in late september. I'll need to learn a bit of Danish before I go. Just a bit. I'm not crazy. Where is mrsFlorrick? Any tips? I bought a book about copenhagen in my lunch hour! HAVE I GONE MAD ??

DonkeysDontRideBicycles Thu 06-Feb-14 10:30:55

Oh thread still going? grin

BBC4's Saturday night foreign language thrillers have been great. I enjoyed "Spiral" and "Inspector Montalbano" (very different from each other!) but there's something about the various Scandi detective series.

I love the whole idea of "hygge", which I think means is a cosy, relaxed, informal atmosphere.

mrsjavierbardem Thu 06-Feb-14 10:21:00

I still would like to object in the strongest possible terms against this elevation of Rasmus to Saving The Day or being the Mastermind.
He is an eejit and I will have to eat my hair if proved wrong.
He deserves no attention from any of us, he disrespected Saga! He may not even be in series 3!

MrsHoolie Thu 06-Feb-14 09:52:09

Will I like Borgen?I have been lent the 1st series but I hear that it's all politics and no murders?

funnyossity Wed 05-Feb-14 23:20:41

I thought I heard "Come in da house" at one point. Then I saw Kim the Danish actor saying the Danish for cuppa tea is said "cuppa tea" and I thought learning Danish could be my new (easy) hobby. Looks as if I was mistaken!

TheDoctrineOfSnatch Wed 05-Feb-14 23:03:20

I knew Pernille was Danish because she said she was from Copenhagen police initially. Rasmus didn't say so I actually thought he was her colleague in Copenhagen until the above post saying he was Swedish. Though I should have guessed when Hans lamped him.
